Um plz no~ One out of 200 did it because she left the group when they weren't mainstream as now and was desperate. You can't judge a group as a whole especially since they donated 30 million USD to Japan relief and 30 vehicles for tsunami victims to transport things as well as visiting Fukushima children school on Christmas

BTW~ the comments and prejudice here piss me off....just cuz i'm an akb fan.

1. don't even know if it will be like IdolMaster which i doubt it considering their producers and script writer who worked on Ano Hana
2. I doubt most of you listened to Beginner, River, Kaze wa fuiteiru, Mokugekisha, ALIVE, Sakura no shior, Keibetsui or their 421 songs ranging from cute love songs to songs about suicide to actually make judgement about them
3. AKB have fanbase among girls as well as males, not just otakus, proof by their promotions in ViVi, CuTIE magazines with members like Itano Tomomi, Shinoda Mariko, Maeda Atsuko, Kojima Haruna which is why they got good people working on this because they want to cash in on AKB popularity.
4. AKB don't portray the "moe" or cute image as other idols. They play games like Shoujiki Shougi on AKBINGO where they're hooked to lie detectors and asked personal question about themselves like if they fake being cute for TV or eat bug sushi on Muchaburi dodgeball as punishment. They are cute but the members joke about stuffs like farting, who have dirty houses, being flat chest etc. They don't act like they're pure, they act like normal girls who wear ugly colorful sweats and no make up to dress rehearsal even when they're being filmed.

ANYWAY I WANT AN ANIME PERFORMANCE OF BEGINNER!!!
It's the thing that make me their fan, especially the scene where acchan ripped off her arm.
BTW~ the members doing the voicing are decided by their voice acting skills by actual judges and tests

Oh. I haven't been following this closely so I kind of assumed some of the AKB girls were going to be the seiyuu. I'm... pretty glad that's not the case. Nothing against them, but I imagine most of them are not experienced in voiceover work, nor would I expect them to be. Though I do think some have worked in anime before, yes?

And good god that cast is absolutely insane. Sawashiro alone makes it godly, but all the way through (Kanda Akemi maybe a bit below the rest) that looks like the hottest grouping of seiyuu you could have possibly put together... in 2006. Which isn't intended as a diss, it's actually really awesome.

I'm all for the Toyosaki/Hanazawa/Yuuki/Taketatsu/Kayano seiyuu orgasm-fests you might see more often these days. I love them all. And truth be told it's not like most of these AKB seiyuu aren't still very prolific and high profile. But it's quite interesting that they put a dream team together without any of the really popular younger seiyuu (so far). I almost wonder if they've got Kugimiya Rie and Inoue Marina lined up next.

Man it feels like I haven't heard Nakahara Mai, Shiraishi Ryouko, and Ueda Kana in nearly enough lately. That'll be nice, if I end up watching this show.

9 members will be doing the main voice acting but the other 9 supporting roles will be played by these experience seiyuus. these 9 girls were chosen out of 200 girls from AKB, SKE, NMB etc in a competition with only 2 of them are popular members while the rest have never ranked in election or ranked at low position, Mayuyu in AKB and Yagami from SKE are the popular ones so I think it's safe to say they were chosen out of their skills. so i don't think they're that bad. with the experienced seiyuus around could further help them.



They're not moe..at least in real life, you should seriously watch Beginner original PV, Acchan ripped off her arm and Kojiharu was decapitated lol.

in the anime their design in the anime moe tho considering the storyline and the people working on it idk how moe it will be...the script writer worked on Toradora, Black Rock Shooter and Ano Hana with the producer worked on Evangelion 1.1

real life? uh, this is anime sir, you don't say "moe" in real life.
seriously, how can a cast of 10+ idol lolis not be moe? it's moe at its best.

not going to argue the casting is full of lolis lookers even tho the youngest is probably Mayuyu at 17 going 18 the end of this month. Tho I think they just look lolis because of they downgrade their looks to make them more girl next door.

Any way I meant the actual AKB48 as a whole isn't really lolis like Maeda Atsuko, Shinoda Mariko, Akimoto Sayaka, Miyazawa Sae. The only lolis in that group come from Team B, which is where most of the voice actresses doing this anime come from.
but anyway yeah as an anime, it look moe...kinda disappointed since the designer did Macross Frontier. I hate the moe style..

I never liked this group, seems like they're just taking advantage of desperate lonely otakus or desperate lonely men. As a fellow otaku, I feel enraged. Such is the nature of idol groups I suppose.

Azusa looks just like any of the other girls, young and hot but slightly more fuckable.

beside their fanbase is really diverse. They're not supported just by otakus bro. right now it's the teens and the adults who are supporting them and I doubt the majority of these adults are otakus.
Beside wtf is with people mis using the word otaku? Otakus aren't interested in 3D girls. the term of idol fans are wotas but not every fans are hardcore enough to be consider wotas. just like how not every anime nerd is hardcore enough to be consider otakus. stop misusing the term~

There is a such thing as an idol otaku and those variety of folks can be far more obsessive than anime/manga/LN otakus, but pale in comparison to VN/Eroge otaku.

Idol Otaku are call wotas. That's why i said the person misued the term.
however~ not all idol fans are consider wotas.
