Why would studios waste money hiring top talent working on stuff that won't make money, versus something like this which would see insane profits? Its same reason Idolmaster has a lot of great animators... they can afford it since they will be making tons of money from it! |

What the fuck happened to the original faces of AKB48? Why can't they just base the original character designs on the real AKB48? They instead went with Precure knockoffs. Of course this will sell, but I don't know if the true fans of AKB48 will appreciate how their idols will look like in this series. |

| Hm. About time. AKB & co. is already everywhere, anyways, so I'm not really surprised that they get their own anime now. I'm not interested though. Got enough AKB, SKE and whatnot flying aroung in J-Drama and J-Pop, don't really need them in anime as well. Not that I have anything against them, it's just too much.^^ The seiyuus will be selected from the members of AKB48, SKE48 and NMB48 btw., not just AKB. |

| It's a good idea to side with caution but you never know, however I do agree this will be seriously merchandise driven regardless. I wonder why Dengeki G's didn't give Love Live an anime adaptation especially when you got Sakurako Kimino in this who could whip up a story for it easy. They need to either stop the project, get her to make a story for the anime or get Kimino back to finishing up Baby Princess. |

| I don't think it'll hit 100k or anything, but a good 25-30k is what I'm expecting, which is still a major hit. There are otakus who buy like 100 of the same AKB48 CD. They're really obsessed with this group, so it'll do really good in sales |
