According to Oricon News, a TV anime of Japanese idol group AKB48 was announced to be aired from next Spring. Draft Character Designs of the anime The voice actresses of the nine main characters will be selected from all the 200 members of AKB48 by an audition. General Director Kawamori Shoji said it will be a touching story with comedy, songs and dances. I wouldn't have cared originally, but thanks to iDOLM@STER, I do. And I'll be looking forward to future information about it. (Probably end up watching it)  |

I don't have a problem with this but the problem is knowing facts that some of the members did porn (not good IMO for an Idol) and that a lot of the members are down dirty in their ways. So if it becomes a success is hardly a guess that plays a lot around what will people think if the Idols? I know that some who want them pure, though luck but not those. Not from what I heard around. So my take is that I will look at it since I do like Idolmaster but not sure I will like less it's like Idolmaster. |

Well I don't know enough about the anime to know that it'll be generic trash but "a touching story with comedy, songs and dances." seems like a large limitation for a theater group. Of course, that could just be because when I think "theater group" I imagine them putting on well known plays. Bored and looking for something to read? Drop by The Ward where you come to get your boredom cured. |

They're so ludicrously popular and successful they're on a whole level (or five) beyond even something as big among otaku as Idolmaster is.
