I still take all of this with a grain of salt - episode 2 was supposed to be so bad it's unwatchable... yet it's better than the first. |

I must agree with exia. If you need to play the game to enjoy the anime then as an anime it has failed. ![]() Where is sniper's island? It's in your heart. |

Homestuck said:PS to people who haven't played this game: the anime is not made for you. It's made for the people who have played P4. I can't agree here, and I'm sure the P4 production committee would agree with you even less. Anime, particularly an adaptation of big-name property, is made to appeal as widely as is reasonable, both to convince existing fans to buy the BDs but also to bring in a whole new audience. Just look at most manga/novel adaptations - success is often measured more by how manga/novel sales increase than how the anime BDs sell. They want a bigger fanbase. If you only want to target existing fans, you bundle an OAD in with the manga, or the next sequel of the game or something. You don't animate a two cour series and broadcast it on television. P4 is undoubtedly meant for as wide an audience as possible. That's how you make more money. PPS: Why the hell are there still people who haven't played P4? Because I haven't owned a video game console in well over a decade. BUY YUYUSHIKI BDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY |

Actually guys, the leak came from a French simulcasting website (similar to Crunchyroll). It is problematic, yes, but not nearly as large a problem as what's actually happening in the animation studio. |

Good. Now someone competent can go and adapt Persona 3. You know, the stuff that was awesome and actually is waiting to be adapted into anime. |

People are really getting too worried about this. Its one of the best selling anime of the year so far... Aniplex will make sure that it gets done and in high quality. If it takes getting rid of some animators who are being a detriment to the team and replacing them with others that are just as good, they'll do that. Plus, anyone who has watched the French broadcast can tell you that the whole "episode 2 is unwatchable!"stuff the animator was yelling about was just bullshit. He's just mad at Aniplex and was trying to sabotage it by telling people to not watch the show, and it seems like its worked by getting all of the people here all worried. ![]() |

I've got a good idea! Hand the production over to Gonzo. You know that'll go well :P |

Looks like a lot of shit has been happening around lately and this news just is another example of it. Something is up all around and it has to do with the economic crisis. Not paying up sure makes lots of people angry considering the job is already done. |

My only question is if they cancel will Sentai get their money back? Cause they payed to get the streaming and distribution rights for it didn't they? I haven't played the game so if P4 does get canceled it won't affect me much, but I feel sorry for the fans who have been waiting for it. "What has two arms, two legs, and is alive? Not your favorite character thats for sure!" |

Its not even worth wondering since late night anime simply doesn't get canceled. They just hire new animators and move on with it. At worse we'll see QUALITY animation like Bakemonagatari that gets fixed on BD release. Modified by RyanSaotome, 10-13-11, 2:24 PM ![]() |

I wouldn't be surprised if it got canceled. Everyone's dropping out because of the shitty job they're doing. The animation director apparently pushed them really hard. I'm still gonna watch it, just to watch it crash and burn. |

Aw man I hope this anime is amazing. I'm playing the game now and I think I love it more than anything. I still don't understand how someone can not play this game/Persona 3, for I now regard my Pre-Persona life as the Dark Days. True story. The idea of watching the anime before playing the game seems... odd to me. I mean what if the anime sucks? You just potentially ruined a great game for yourself. That's why I'm hoping it somehow becomes as good as the game, in its own way of course. I'd hate for people to be all, "God I hate Persona 4" and refuse to play because of it. |
