| @bandnerd3 Fullmetal Alchemist - more philosophical approach than Brotherhood, but still a good watch Grave of the Fireflies - watching it once is enough, but it makes an incredible impact My Neighbor Totoro - one of those classics you must see Natsume Yuujinchou - my favorite anime. Comedy, but with melancholy overtones, and lovable characters Princess Tutu - my favorite magical girl series. Much, much darker and deeper than it appears. Looks are deceiving Steins;Gate - the first episodes are slow, but once the balls starts rolling, you just can't stop Welcome to the NHK! - comedy, but with very depressing, but real life issues. It switches back and forth between seriousness and comedy flawlessly |

| @Toranilor Clannad + Clannad:AS - A series that can make you laugh, cry, surprise you, and possibly inspire you. After Story is my favorite anime to date. Angel Beats! - An interesting twist on life after death. Like Ardamaeus said above, the only issue with it is how brief the series is at 13+ episodes. Toradora! - One of the finest romances out there, from what I have seen. Its predictable, but very enjoyable to watch. 5 Cm per Second - Beautiful animation, although I'm not sure what to make of the plot development. Up to you to interpret everything, but I find this movie to be quite the masterpiece. Edit: Man I type slow. At least you got three people to help you out with recommendations. |

GRAVE OF THE FIREFLYS!! - I would go so far to say that all Americans should watch this. It's beautifull, haunting, you WILL cry. Haibane Renmei - One of my favorite soundtracks and a beautiful anime. Howl's Moving Castle - Love this. The only one of his movies that made me go run out and find the book! Mushishi - Lovely, slow-paced, do not watch while sleepy or you will droll on keyboard! Natsume Yuujinchou (and all seasons) - My. Favorite. Anime. |

| Aoi Hana - Lovely and light show. Arakawa Under the Bridge - Really unique character designs, funny antics and characters. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien - Very, very good Drama series. Kimi ni Todoke - Cute, light-hearted and fun! Mushishi - *currently watching this myself* Slow-paced but really enjoyable. Nana - Great characters, it's good for a sit back to laugh, and even have a bit of a cry. xxxHolic - Interesting concept, unique art ('noodle people' by CLAMP! :D) and nicely balanced. |

| @ kiminotameni I got ninja'd lol Another - I would say it's the best new (not a second...or fourth...season) anime so far this year. I'm really enjoying it. Even the obligatory swimsuit episode was nice and had some fun suprises! Chrno Crusade - If I could have ten favorite animes, this would be on my favorites list. It's funny, it's suspenseful, it's heartwrenching. Fruits Basket - The heroine is... kinda dumb and nieve as anything else but this anime is just too funny. It has some really sweet moment too but the humor is what I remember best! Highschool of the Dead - Fun with blood, brains, all sorts of weapons, panty shots, and boob bounces! Great for the whole family! XD Kodomo no Omocha - I remember freaking the people in the computer lab at college OUT when I burst into peals of laughter as I streamed this at college! The manga is more serious, and a little better but the humor in this... just watch it! Mirra Nikki - It's a survival game, true. But the characters in this! This is a really cool anime, it's probably gonna end up with a eight or a nine. I watch it every week when it comes out. Natsume Yuujinchou - My. Favorite. Anime. Watch this! It's lovely, it's relaxing, it makes me smile, I soooo relate to the main character (lol), it has enough cute moments to break the tension, it has enough tension for me to be REALLY glad I read the manga and am thus ahead of the anime for major events lol. It makes me feel better about people in general. |

| @pinkarray I recommend Black Lagoon. It's kick ass/violent. (It gets much much more gruesome toward the end but it's an awesome anime overall) Death Note was pretty awesome. It's a lot of mindf***. Durarara!! - loved this anime. Really great cast of character, amazing mystery, just very dynamic and awesome! Full Metal Panic! - Very enjoyable, season 2 is HILARIOUS. I haven't seen Mobile Suit Gundam, but I watched Gundam 00, and it's really really good. The first season is mainly politically intriguing with some action. The season 2 kicks it into high-gear and it goes into badass-mode. The movie was pretty good but the ending was HORRIBLE. I recommend you watch Gundam 00. And even if you haven't seen the other Gundams you won't need them to get Gundam 00. |
| @timebourne Amagami ss- pretty and sweet short stories of relationships with an interesting omnibus format :P Ano Natsu- the love polygon is intense in this one. Check it out~ Clannad- themes of family and friendship are really nice, dramatic and funny at times too :) Guilty crown- despite it being underrated for a subpar plot, the animation and music make up for it. Steins;gate- you must watch this now. Amazing story and character development, it may start of slow and confusing but give it some time and it'll really stick to you |
