Well until now it's pretty generic as a plot...the way the principal explains what would have been better to be kept hidden a little longer is generic and...well it didn't really reach me,hope it gets better ,it would be a shame to end up fail with all the nice stuff about it:graphics, voice actors, songs.

I am loving this show so far. I'm surprised more people aren't watching it. It's actually really good.

Then again it comes down to personal opinions. I myself am a fan of doing puzzles and such, which is why I probably love this more than the next person.

Pretty good episode. <33

Kind of a basic solution... The moment he said he sealed the movements, only choice to "solve" it would be to push himself out. There was another choice for survival, but it wouldn't solve it. They had a overlay of where the bus would fall, it wouldnt crush the entire area.. pretty disappointed... hes meant to be a puzzle master, and I could even figure it out? I was hoping it would be a mentally stimulating show, but I guess not..

Yes, it's childish. However, very entertaining.
The only thing that really annoys me is the "OH I HAVE SOLVED IT HURR DURR I HAZ POWAHZ IN MY EYEZ!". Just avoid the stupid monologue, please!

I thought exactly the same; when I saw the diagram, and where the bus was supposed to fall. I immediately thought of putting the car just in a place where they could be safe.
Nevertheless, we could say that there wasn't enough time for putting the car in that position with just a minute left, and that's why he took the option we saw.

This is in reference to the end of the puzzle, where they were trapped in the car just in front of the exit; if you are talking about the red haired faggot... Yes, he sucks, I completely agree with you, lol.

lol this anime has just become incredibly predictable. just by the last scene i know who the villain is and the various motivations.

as for the puzzle, it is really nothing sophisticated. there is an I-phone app that has that very same puzzle. this whole episode was merely a setup for the plot as well as to get him to take up his tittle or whatever. if you already knew what that puzzle is it was nothing more than a basic mental exercise.

Every five seconds they yell 'puzzle!'

This show is entertaining so far (the puzzles are nothing special, but oh well). The white haired enemy is probably the same childhood friend of Kaito's memories.

I saw someone write a review for this show(which is weird after only 2 episodes),anyway I agree with one point this person made, they need to show in detail how the main character(forgot his name) solves these puzzles. But for now the show is just ok.

I wonder how long in till a Angry Birds like puzzle appears.
I used to believe the brain was the most important organ in the body.
Then I realized - - Look what's telling me that.

I'd enjoy this series more if the main character wasn't so annoying. The rival's even more annoying. Put them together, as they did with this episode, and oh man... I agree with the plot predictability. I can deal with that, but these characters are grating to the point where I don't know how much more I can take. Hopefully it'll get better.

They could have at least shown us the answers for the puzzles on the stairs. One major fault of this series is that they keep talking and talking about puzzles but don't spend any time solving them, it's suddenly just done, not different than if the characters have used magic, leaving the viewers in the dark.

Totally agree. Judging by the preview for the 3rd episode, the "Edison" boy is going to be obnoxious as well.

I hate how they never show the actual solutions to the puzzles!!
I didn't notice in the first episode, but the art to this show is really bad.
This got pretty ridiculous, and I normally love ridiculousness, but the way the characters act is just RIDICULOUS, like why on earth did that guy get so mad and suddenly try to kill them during the puzzle?? Plus the principle and his little lackey kid are just creepy and unnatural (probably not the right word I'm thinking of). Then we have the fact that we basically know now the whole plot, wooo exciting final showdown between two childhood friends who were reunited, but are now enemies, how original.
Even with all that, it keeps my attention so far. OK episode, hope it picks up.

hey guise, i heard its really hard to solve puzzles when you can do illegal moves.

lets just attach a drill on the front of the car and drill through all the obstacles

I AM KAITO, PRO PUZZLER, EVEN IF I CHEAT, ITS CONSIDERED SOLVED.

even better, smash the cars against the wall and throw them out the grid, rush hour real hard bro

The 2 reviews nailed it. The armband glows, his eye turn red, supposedly hard puzzles are solved in a flash. So fast you don't even get to see the logic behind how he does it?! Oooookaaaaay.

That bus probably weighted more than 14 Tons (around 28,000 pounds). And considering you need about 2500 psi to crush a car, even if he overlay the other cars to disperse the force of impact, they would have been made permanent additions to the buss' drive shaft, suspension system, exhaust system, and maybe the gas tank.

So yeah, only way out was to use that Geass of him and go bend the rules to get themselves out of that pinch.

I'll admit, this series is sort of ridiculous, but is enjoyable.

I like the previous episode more. Now that Kaito has obtained the Orpheus something, it'll be like... like... some sort of weapon or gadget that 'one has to rely on this item in every dangerous situation' ,, mehhh

And the puzzles in the show aren't that 'difficult' as many characters claimed them to be so.

And I don't like how the show didn't show how the puzzles were solved ! They just avoided the direct screenshot.

IMO, the show would be more interesting if...
- the level of puzzle is increased
- the show shows the direct and entire shot of how it is solved. ( not like, 'I solved it' then solve, camera pans away, solve, pans away and done. ) As I think the essence of the puzzle-solving anime is that the audience would get to see and observe character's every move ( at least, almost every move is just fine ).
- the plot is less predictable, more twisted and complicated. Wait, could it be that this anime is for children?? If so, then I can't complain a thing since this isn't made for me.

That's it
PS
This anime gave me Yugioh's vibes

it does not take 10 minutes to complete a rush puzzle. Not only that he has to activate the thing that lets him use his super brain in order to figure out push the car out? The writer of this anime is a complete child. None of these puzzles are hard. What a failure.

I lost faith in Kaito the 1st second I saw him not wearing his school uniform. He is allowed to wear causal clothes at school as much as he is allowed to cheat! I really hope this show will get better, it's enjoyable nevertheless.

I solved the car puzzle in a maximum of 15 sec, with 7 moves. The second time I went over it i realised that 4 moves was sufficient. I am utterly dissapointed at the level of that puzzle. At least the original "daughter in a box" puzzle takes 81 moves.

The other solutions were:
Well I'm not going to adress the Tpuzzle

9dots 4 lines:
Start at the top-right dot. Draw a line to the bottom-left. Then to the top-left and beyond. Then through the top-middle and the right-middle and beyond. Lastly through the bottom dots.

I am not certain at the solution to the figures and numbers. But if you take for granted that the weird symbol beneath A is a 7 the solution is: A = 13, B = 0.
Each number is located in one or more figures. The numbers represent the amount of corners in these figures. For example. The number to the very left is 3. The figure in which it is located is a triangle. The number 9 above is located in both the triangle and the hexagon.

Car "problem":
There are three horizontal 2piece cars located above the red car. Move these to the space left of the red car. Now you've got a clear path to the exit.
I seriously cannot believe that the antagonist tought even a second when he designed that "puzzle"; and it took the red haired guy EIGHT MINUTES to solve it.
To be fully honest I thought that the "Now you can't move, so what are you going to do" would later be revealed to be part of the puzzle, and that the ridiculous puzzle was just a distraction.

This show is hilariously bad for the first two episodes. Between the generic coolness of the male lead and Galileo, the simplicity of the puzzles, and everyone takes this so seriously. I mean did Damon really need the red glowing eye to figure out that "solution." Then the pathetic attempt at a generic shounen plot.

I'm just waiting for Yugi Moto to show up and ask them to solve the millenium puzzle.

Anyone else hate that red haired faggot? I really hope he gets "better" as the show goes on, considering how he's listed as a main character (god only knows why).

As for the episode, the main character (can't remember his name, but he's the one with the red eye and arm band) seems a bit to reliant on his new found power. Earlier he was able to solve everything on his own, but now he relies on his power to solve a simple puzzle (like others have been posting about in this topic).

Anyways, I'll continue watching, but if something good doesn't happen soon, like the red haired faggot dying, I'll probably end up dropping this.

Thanks for posting this! This was the one single puzzle where I thought "oh, I haven't actually seen this puzzle, it'll be interesting to see the solution because I can't immediately see it", and then they NEVER SHOWED HIM SOLVING IT. Just shots of people saying "wow it's solved!" without even showing the solution.

This show is frustrating at times... I do love puzzles, so this show concept sounded great, but all these 'instantly winning really basic puzzles without showing solutions' scenes are not what I expected! I was hoping for lots of clever deductions on harder puzzles. Ah well, I'll keep watching and hoping something like that will eventually happen, but the sheer concept of the dumb 'eye that instantly solves things' plot device doesn't give me much hope.

that red haired Galileo Galilei dude pissed me off. it was a little dumb that the giver just gave no solution when he solved it, like...? that white haired guy at the end... literally what has my life become if i just watch it for the mysterious characters? maybe it's not my fault, the plot nor the puzzles are interesting so even something as simple as introducing a new character gets me more interested. can't they at least narrate him brainstorming how to solve it? like in his mind, he could be like: "so we're unable to move past this point due to the red car's motion being paused and there's a bus ready to fall in _____ seconds. however, perhaps the giver did not pause the other car movements. *experimentation* i was right, if i can't move this car, i'll move the other cars and push them into mine to get out of the way. now how can i do that? *blip bloop bleep* swipeu, swipeu, DABBURU SWIPEU CANDY CRUSH ATTACK!" seriously, there could have been a better way than treating his arm bracelet as a deus ex machina solve-all multipurpose. nonoha was right when she said that they were saved again by the armlet, fuck outta here with both kaito and that walmart goro akechi claiming that "it was all his skill." where tf is the skill, demonstrate it, show it, i don't want to hear that it's magically solved with the camera panning off. k, don't kill me. i only wanted to give my two cents.

edit: GG dude is a main character?!
