| People need to watch more previews, this episode shouldn't have come as that much of a surprise. That being said, I was wondering why Fear would have a reason to go crazy mode, and this episode made that quite apparent. Interested to see where they'll take this. |

| So i was sitting there during the first episode and i was like cool i got a slice of life magical girl show with some supernatural stuff, the episode im sitting there for like first half thinking the same thing then shit hit the fan. I love that they are bringing history into the mix and the "surnames" relate to the person/weapon. that said we have three i have picked up on Konoha Murmusa=Murmusa sengo, japanesse sword smith where the legends of murmusa the demon blade and masamuna orginate, also this makes sense in the show because it is said that the real murmusa blades must first draw blood before they can put back in the sheath i.e the breaking of valencias gauntlet. Fear Kubrick=Fear itself which explains her affinity for cats and the scene that they are scared of her i.e black cats meaning you are about to meet your end=for runners of death. which is exactly what we find out about Fear that she is akilling machine. Peavey Barowoi aka Valencia= Reference to the city of Valencia Spain which was once a religious capitol and made famous for its preachers that often turned poeple from other beliefs and religious into devote Catholics. Makes sense because she seems to want to snuff out evil and make things one way, and taking a stab in the dark the knights she spoke of seem to also be a holy type and this would add to the belief. All this said i wasnt really excited for this show and planned on throwing it on the back burner but this episode has me stoked for upcoming events. Let it be awesome. |

| What the hell just happened?! From the first episode, I thought this is just going to be a slice-of-life gag kind of anime with some unnatural/magical/supernatural elements just because the main heroine is an unusual humanoid, mainly like Shinryaku Ika Musume. But NO! Instead, there's action, magical powers, and a dark past to all this? I thought the boy is just normal and was going to be shocked with the turn of events and stepped up his ways to join. But NO again! He's already well prepared to fight?! C3, you've certainly changed my mind about you. Now...about the current MAL score that's depressing what the turn of events was...RISE UP! :P |

| Sayaka Ohara as the "Bitchin" woman = Beatrice from Umineko. YES, i totally miss her Beatrice voice! The guy with the mask....sounds like Char Aznable. Damn what a intense episode, seeing Fear's eyes look like that really scared the crap out of me, great choice to use Yukari Tamura voice Fear as she's very versatile. I'm guessing the ecchi is a diversion to what's really important in this series: bloodshed? Count me as the many who had the urge to drop this series at episode 1. More of this please!! |

| Yukarin's display of seiyuu skill in this one is priceless. She's great at doing genki girl roles. And genki girls with hidden sides *cough* Rika Furude *cough*. I did not expect to see intense action, much less a dark turn, in this episode, which is nice, because I like unexpected turns. |

| Oh fuck yes! I'm not convinced by the plot, but the animation and art is so freaking good! I love how they took a lot of techniques from Shaft and mixed it in with standard shonen action to create something unique. I was especially impressed by the excellent use of colors. I'll have to keep an eye out for more by Silver Link studios. |

| I read the reviews before watching this anime and was told that it starts getting better by episode 2. I was sitting there through half of it wondering when the hell does this story pick up!? only last couple of minutes where worth watching. I cant wait to see what Fear does... something creative I hope. |

| The 1st episode was a solid 5/10. Ok but far from being special. It did start to grow on me part way through the 1st half of episode 2 but when old smokey turned up the shit hit the fan! 0_0 I though it was going to be a fluffy magical girl ecchi thing but hopefully now its more than that. Better watch a few more at least. don't want to be cursed! ^_^ |
