| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I have been looking forward to watching this and i am not disappointed it seems like a really thrilling anime. Also the fact that the only one that the main character can trust is extremely exciting. The episode started of a bit cruel and reminded me a bit of Higurashi but after that it was a bit slow till it got near the end. I wonder what we will get to see next week as this seems very interesting. |
Of the parts in this episode I though the kiss in the following, Was great and showed lots of love from Yuno whom her voice if fine. What happens to one that loses his diary in the following,  Is gruesome. On one end it does not hurt you but on the other I would fear for my soul should all of me return to nothingness. Wonderful series like my thoughts wished upon for something out of Steins Gate but with more spice and action. Can't exactly put the other anime along with Steins Gate but getting kind of Gantz feelings as in this being a game where you have to survive and can be killed. Other than that I am in the boat of rooting for the main couple of this series. With all the shit they will be going through, giving them support is the best but I am not sure if that support will be there through the whole series or fuck them.....oh wait they redeemed themselves! Kind of roller coaster. One thing I can safely write out is that I shall enjoy what Steins Gate offered me and I shall savor all the possible sex/nudes/blood that Gantz offered of what this may offer from it. Anyone on that perspective? Finally I hope the characters get fleshed out well. So far I am OK with all. Slow pace is expected till the mid point of 13 episodes less someone thinks that a rush is needed with this much episodes? Last I heard, that amount should be enough to cover the entire manga. PS: I will try to read the manga as each episode passes with perhaps one chapter ahead. IMO many should do the same thing if you don't want "A in your face we did not include that!" Yeah that situation. Or the censors. Manga is certainly not censored. |

| Awesome first episode. The only things that bothered me are the CGI and Yuno's voice. I don't think she sounds as bad as most people are saying, but she doesn't sound that great either. Everything else seems solid so far~ And lmao @ the after credits scene. Silly third. |

| That episode was so awesome. I just love the plot of a survival game and to able to see what happens in the future. It's just like Death Note expect with Cell Phones. I already can't wait until the next episode. |

I did not mention this but in the following, Is that you Grevil from Gosick? Obviously not but the guy has almost that same hair cut. | Didn't really like it. I felt the pace of it was horrible and pretty much everything was already explained within 2-3 minutes of wondering why it happened, and the characters don't seem interesting enough for me to think "I wonder what'll happen to them?" With no real mystery behind it I can't say I'm excited to see the rest. |

So you shouldn't see any inspiration or similarity between the two because there clearly aren't any (nor Higashi no Eden anyway). Regarding this first episode, it was a decent adaptation even though the direction is still a little less than average and the animation not really great. I for one wasn't particularly shocked by Yuno's voice but on the other hand, Yukki's one felt pretty weird in the beginning. I'll watch the rest even though the manga seems better for now. |

| Interesting and tense first episode. I was by no means blown away by it, but it wet my palate enough for me to want to check out the next episode. The first half somehow kept reminding me of Mawaru Penguindrum with all that talk about diaries and controlling the future, or destiny. I managed to put that out of my mind once the action portion of the series began to kick in. I'll give this one a few more episodes to see if I'm going to stick with it or not. 3/5 |

| Wow..this just...wow...this was amazing. And it's funny..that everyone says Wakamoto Norio has the voice of God, and plays a God now..an actual god. xD; I love this show. This season has some good line ups. |

| I mentioned Gantz any chance it could be like that? Clearly the blood pissing at 2 occasions demonstrates more than enough that it may reach violence of Gantz level. Whether censoring or not. Frankly I can say a proud (insert bad word) towards the censors. As I find it enriching indeed to read the manga as the episodes go by. The mangas are mostly not censored if I am right on that one. |

| Mirai Nikki ep1 was pretty great...but it didn't really made me think its AWESOME. (kinda disappointing, but it's okay cuz its jst the first ep) lol. I want moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee murders though. :) and yeahh, I agree with Yuno, the way the third player die was fuckin' boring... =w=" oh, I'm excited to see the other players :) But I'm more excited to see the ending, cuz I already know Yuno and Amano are the last players and gonna try to kill each other(it's obvious cuz theyre the main charas lol) actually, i think Amano is gonna kill Yuno because of the first scene..but idk, its just a prediction...OF THE MIRAI b=w= lol c: |

| i was expecting good things from this premiere episode and it didn't disappoint. i've never read the manga so I don't know how closely the two will follow each other. in any case, I'm very excited to see more of this. |

| i was planning on reading the manga, but im not sure i will any more since there is an anime now. but doesn't "First" the main character look like he should be in some type of pokemon game haha, not in a bad way. and i am really happy this is going to be a 26 episode series. i agree with the coment below! | This was actually...pretty good. I'd have said it's pretty fucking promising, if I hadn't read the manga. If things stay this way, I'll definitely recommend the anime over the manga, in the future. |
