| Of course Rossiu has fucked up logic. Of course he's sleazy. He has cemented himself as the best character in this show in just the past three episodes. This whole second arc would be nothing, absolutely nothing without Rossiu. Just Simon vs. aliens = explosions is fine for some braindead shounen anime. We need a cold idealist like Rossiu who makes our blood boil to keep things interesting. Why does everything have to be "agree with his values = like the character" or "disagree with his values = hate the character"? Can't we just recognize interesting characters? |

| I'd hardly call Rossiu a 'madman'. His thinking is logical, but simply lacks compassion and empathy. He is all about the ends, not the means. And its thanks to his upbringing which we've seen early on in the story, so we as the viewer can be empathetic to his character, even if we disagree with his methods. |

| ZOMG ROSSIU HATE >:( I hope he takes a drill directly to that stupid, giant forehead of his. I'm sure the middle sister standing up for him was supposed to make us second-guess our loathing but it failed in that regard. Can't wait to see Rossiu die (assuming he does, as the de facto new villain), and maybe that four-eyed bitch will bite it with him. He had a decent plan to save humanity already, with his Arc-Gurren; there wasn't any need to help the public scapegoat Simon. The Anti-Spirals are what did this, not Simon or Gurren Lagann. Stupid sheeple. I have to say Kamina's death definately made the series what it is ... one hell of a badass, epic mecha anime. Not something you tell that character's (still clearly brother-obsessed) surviving family however. Drill to the face! Viral returns next episode! And we get the long awaited rivals-teaming-up episode, huzzah. The marathon continues ... |

And that Kittan/Kinon scene was magnificently done. STILL. FUCK YOU ROSSIU, YOU SON OF A BITCH. Poor, poor Simon... First Nia, the love of his life, turns bad, and now he's fucking sentenced to death. Wonderful. Wish Kamina was here... Seriously, I feel like this part after the time-skip is way better than the 1st part. 1st part I would rate maybe a 6 or a 7, this part right now is definitely a 9. We'll see what happens at the end, I guess. |

| I think Rossiu has just become my favorite character. He truly lives the life he preaches. He was willing to sacrifice the person he cares the most about to ensure the greater survival of humanity, and I believe he would be willing to sacrifice himself if it is best option. He is the only person in the show who truly puts others before himself. I respect that because I understand that that is what a leader has to do. I don’t want to see my head of government sacrifice his people to fulfill a selfish wish, I expect them to govern or leave if they are unable to do so. |
