well i thought it was just ok. as the humour wsnt there, tho the drama was gd, the animation excellent as well as the directed scene and pace. but i loved clannad mainly for the humour, which was completely cut off in this OVA/extra ep thingy. also, i NAGISA IS MADE FOR TOMOYO NO-ONE ELSE, hence i thought tht it somewhat spoiled the love between them two in the series for me. and because they were both together, their personalities were just tht slightly different, and so seemed like different ppl really. 8/10. (series i gave 10/10)

Which is why I refuse to read any of the mangas b/c I've heard of the tragic endings in some of them and will refuse to put myself through that.

Loved it !! The drama was good and the animation was excellent. It seems rushed, but it's quite understandable. It's hard to put one whole arc in just one episode.

All it made me do was with for more Tomoya with Tomoyo, which obviously isn't going to happen. 10/10

i really liked this ova, but i was hoping for it to be based off tomoyo after, not the tomoyo route. however, now im thinking that since they did this ova and gave us the back story, wouldnt they now be able to animate tomoyo after without confusion? like what if this ova was just a gateway to a tomoyo after series? because they specifically picked tomoyo for the ova, even though kyou's route would have made a good ova as well since it wasnt covered in much detail in the show. if they made one, it would probably air after the After Story. but its just a thought.

or maybe they'll release another ova after After Story airs with tomoyo after in it?

i just really want that game to be animated lol.

I have played the game and finished the whole thing. My favorite character has always been Tomoyo and I must say that this a "perfect" adaptation of the second half of tomoyo's route. Gave it 10/10

This OVA showed Tomoyo's other personalities not seen in the Clannad Series. The story progressed well even if it's only one episode. The last scene was one of the best scenes I ever watched. It made my throat hurt for a bit. If this OVA was longer, I think I'll reach my limit for holding out my tears. Tomoyo crying moved me....

I think Clannad AS will do an excellent job. The OVA did very well.


Now that would be amazing. I hope they'll also make for Kyou.

awesome piece of ova literally.. did great job converting from game to anime. butttt.. where is takafumi??? =_+.. left out 1 important character (character who was basically reason for tomoyo working soo hard for sakura tree... its letdown they did not mention takafumi.)

Sweet mother of God...Kyoto Animations has finally done it...They have laid the foundations for a Tomoyo After OVA...It pains me to say this, but I think I'll offer my firstborn to KyoAni...xD

This episode alone was worth watching through 23 episodes of KyoAni trying to jumble 5 girls into one continuous series. Of course I'm completely bias about this since I prefer Tomoyo over Nagisa any day of the week, but seriously the episode has to be the best out of the previous 23.

I teared up when they broke up, almost cried when they reunited, and felt a sense of happiness when their separate paths finally intertwined at the end of the episode.

Think I'll go write a review...

This would be one way (but I doubt it will happen). The more likely thing is that someone translates the Tomoyo game into English. There are already several groups doing Clannad, so why not one subbing the Tomoyo game. That would be wonderful.

I really can't understand why KEY doesn't bring out their games in English, too (for import).

yea, I am pretty sure that we all agree that it was too short... too bad it wasn't like a 3 Episodes of OVA just for Tomoyo... The Ending = Epic. How was it Epic? Did you see how Tomoya hugged Tomoyo? DID YOU?!
