I thought this was done. I have all 4 volumes, and they tell a pretty complete story. I know CLAMP has a history of not finishing their works, but I really do think this one is done.

Yeah, it should only be four volumes. Well, the database isn't that perfect...

EDIT: Ignore this post. lol

ahha yeah I know, i notice a lot of stuff without volumes on them, but its old enough where i thought they would have put it as "complete" by now. Granted... not even X is done yet, so maybe they didn't know?

Oh, actually Wikipedia sas otherwise. lol Apparently, it was left unfinished because the magazine it was being serialized in went out of business. CLAMP says that they'll need about two more volumes to complete the series.

Haha, I thought it was done. Guess not. I actually never read it. Hey, this is more of a reason why Dark Horse needs to release the volumes individually instead of one giant omnibus of the first four.

hahah, did Dark Horse really publish it? i thought TP did.. I dont have them here ATM to tell you. Huh... so its not done then.. but it does tell a compelete story! At least.. for the most part. There are still questions, but its more about the CLOVER, not the characters so much. We're use to only getting a little info on the charries. CLAMP needs to finish stuff.

TokyoPop's license returned to CLAMP at some point. It's a rather old title, so I guess they let it expire? I don't know. Dark Horse announced at Anime Expo last weekend that they acquired the rights to it. So they'll be re-releasing it next March.

If you already have the four original volumes, then you won't have to. Unless Dark Horse plans to ad some extras. Like I said, it'll be one giant omnibus. So that's four volumes in one big book. You can just leave it alone, unless you're a collector and want everything. lol

I've seen pictures... ^_^;

I don't know. I should have asked when I had the chance at Anime Expo. Maybe it's cheaper and will get the four volumes to the readers faster? Who knows.

Sorry to butt in here, but I have answers.
Tokyopop's license of CLOVER expired, and since Kodansha recently republished volumes 1 & 2 in special edition, DarkHorse is going to be releasing the new version.
I recently bought volume 1 of the special edition CLOVER.
It includes a few color pages, and I think it's two volumes rolled into one.
Also, it's huge. Much bigger compared to the regular Tankoubon.
So as for the price, it'll probably be more expensive.

One of the best and hardest to find manga in the world, Clover. I love it. The OVA's nice. But, the manga isn't finished, or it should be. Its really sad, yet it has a cute love story to it.

I recently bought the Dark House omnibus at Anime North for $20CAD - it really is just a compilation of the four volumes into one. Pretty good deal for the price, especially seeing the prices the original Clover volumes go for at online auctions. There are some nice colour pages inside it, but it's not new art by any stretch. The TokyoPop single volumes were MUCH prettier in design but expensive, even for manga at the time (back then, manga cost about $20CAD each, but Clover was at least $25CAD). And, like I said, good luck finding the old volumes of Clover online for a reasonable price.

I have volumes 1-3 of the original TP versions but it went out of print before I could buy volume 4. I searched online for anyone selling volume 4 and only found prices between $75 and $100 USD, and being a student, I can't afford that xD It pains me to have to buy all four volumes all at once in the Dark House version, but the price is reasonable enough that I don't entirely mind in order to finally own the "fourth volume".

The omnibus edition is amazing. The translation is more clear, the song lyrics aren't annoying anymore, and you also get a gorgeous full-color illustration gallery in the back.

My only complaint is that the spine is weak - I had to literally clamp my hand on it to keep it from creasing.

They started going back here so I suppose they're missing a volume on Kazuhiko and another on Su.
But I also suppose they're never going to end it... Let's face it, a completely underground manga in hiatus for more than 10 years, there's just no way. This is underground even for Clamp fans u.u
It's such a shame.. This is definitely my favorite work from them and although it kind of feels finished, knowing there's a still 1/3 of the story to tell.

Let's hope that that movie is well made and gets fans back to make them end the story.

Such a interesting history. Too bad that didn't have a end! I really wanted to know what happens and to me, it looks totally incompleted. But like Lumi-chan said: We can't have any hope of a end. Anyway, still is a good manga.
