Depending on what happens next episode this may be dropped. Showing us a mock battle with characters we don't know and don't care about isn't a particularly inviting introduction. Knowing that it was a bad end to one route in a VN helps, because it implies that we might see something in the next episodes that will start leading us to one of the good ends. However at this point I'm not really hopeful we have an Amigami SS quality show here. Next week will tell the tale. In my next life I want to collide at the corner with the cute transfer student carrying a piece of toast in her mouth......rodac Must...not...feed...trolls.... |

What the fuck did i just watch???!!! Seriously somebody tell me, i find references to almost every single school-action related anime of the last 10 years, Ikitousen, Baka Test, Infinite Stratos, Princess Lover, Sayuuki, Dog Days, Tenjho Tenge... you name it. Edit: oh i forgot Chrome Shelled Regios. Sure it wast exciting non-stop action but i guess its all down hill from here, lets hope this end up being good or at least average. I have not seen the VN (the CG, on the other hand...), but this episode seemed like they were trying to do an entire anime season in 24 minutes. I'll stick with this for now. |

Fucking awesome episode. I feel like there will be only be 1 more episode that might be as great as this one, but this first episode sure has me hooked on its adrenaline. I might even check the VN out after it finishes airing. ![]() |

This reminds me of Infinite Stratos. May have some potential but will most likely end up mediocre. |

I've played VN and am reading the manga...but even I didn't like the way this series started. All the Seiyuus were good, I really liked all their voices. Animation was pretty standard, just like other seasonal animes. I really didn't like how they introduced the episode with all these fights...as well as how they introduced Chris, Mayu, and other secondary characters so early on. I'm hoping later episodes follow how the manga is going at least. Regardless, Momoyo ftw!!! |

This first episode was pretty awesome except for the end. Let's see if I've got it right: of the 5 girls in the group, 4 are in love with only one of the 4 guys, and that one guy is in love with the 5th girl who doesn't happen to like him that way. Here's for hoping this is more focused on the action than the love...whatever shape that is. |

oh! look at how powerful those girls get!....ok seriously, i know that they are quite powerful...especially Momoyo but why would Miyako shoot what seem to be a bomb or laser instead of arrow? and what the hell is that look like a battle aura/force that i'm seeing? ![]() seriously, it's not DBZ! If they focus more on martial art instead of those effects....the action would be a lot better. ...and they just make Yamato to be quite pathetic. great Yamato's voice sound out of place which isn't too surprising. kouk2002 said: Though not played it, i had started reading the manga so can understand your disappointment. Personally i hope that this first episode was either of the following; 1: an event that takes place later in the story 2: Something completely random using the characters, with the hopes of grabbing peoples attention. Well, I'm hoping it's the first option and that the series actually start from the beginning in the next episode. I'm not disappointed that much because of the episode itself but more of the fact that this could have been so much more. The VN was about the awesome character interaction mixed with comedy and with occasional action. The character's personality wont' be flashed out with a random battles like this. But who am I kidding? It seems like people already enjoy it... ![]() |

This look freakin awesome, loads of action already in the first ep. And this is a type of action that I love, with them samurais/ warring state period fighting. The fight scenes looked pretty decent so far. All of the girls looks great and there's no one that I can say I dislike atm. They all seem pretty unique and I can tell I am going to end up loving them all. Lol suicide unit, that's what Im talking about. Thats always the best plan imo. |

This was pretty cool. It reminded me a bit of a mix between Dog Days and Hyakka Ryouran. I don't like how they just threw you into a war without explanation though, but I think it'll be more slow paced from now on. It looks like it'll be a harem, yet I really don't care because all the characters are so nice! =D |

Pretty neat episode so far, but what I didn't really understand was, who were "The Big Four"? Yes I know Momoyo, Kuki and Tsubame are 3 of them, but they said "the last one of the big four has appeared" when Tsubame arrived. But besides Kuki and Momoyo, who was the other one before? |

I can certainly see people who are not familiar with the Visual Novel not knowing what the hell is going on, and on that level it's a failure. On the other hand the anime seems to do a good job of catching at least the general personality of the characters and it's a nice bonus that the seiyuu returned for their characters. But, really, all this episode amounted to was random (in the context of the series, anyway) fight scenes with no explanation. Yes, the viewer is told the two classes dislike one another but it isn't the same as actually seeing (the show, not tell rule anyone?) the classes at each others throat in the VN. At least it didn't take itself seriously, and kept the overall comedic tone. Not particularly funny, though. I'll watch this as a fan of Majikoi, but this looks to be the worst of what I've seen so far. Which is strange because I've typed the most for this..the fuck? ![]() |
