I'm hoping they convert it to work better as an anime parody of a parody.

I see that's what's going on in the manga, and it's been going on as such, but I still find it fairly boring. It just doesn't capture NisiOisiN's usual wordplay as well.

There are some good parts here and there, but they could trim a lot and go all out with the satire.

Thanks god it's confirmed. I love the manga. but hopefully it will go up to a certain part and stop and not milk it like alot of Nisio-sensei works.

there is something about the producer being gainax, or it hasn't been confirmed yet?

It started off like Haruhi but then turned into a battle manga that pokes fun at Jump and other battle manga cliche. I can't say it does it as well as it could, though. Not as well done as his novels, anyways.

A good way of putting it. I totally did not realize that the battles were satirical, but that was probably because I was reading it when I was a shounen, and had no idea what was going on. Thus, I dropped it. I also faintly recall dropping it because there wasn't enough romance.

But with the advent of the anime, as well as your concise analysis, I will pick up the anime. After that, I can consider reading the manga. It's currently on hold now.

Oh hell yeah to this. I've been waiting to see this animated ever since it first got serialized. I'll just be hoping that they manage to do an amazing job on it.

Enjoy Kumagawa who is hands down the best character in the manga.

I personally am looking forward to watching it, altough I'll probably wait until I can watch at least 10 - 15 episodes in marathon.

For me, manga is rather entertaining, altough many things are rather silly and absurd.

How is this shit not cut in the first place? They gave NishiOshin too much respect for his PREVIOUS works. This manga is fail.

I don't know if I will watch it since I only liked some of the earlier manga chapters.
