I'd say 50/50 shot with something with a name, then again ADV got burned on Final Fantasy Unlimited, and I don't know how Zone of the Enders did for them.

Did not see this coming, thought for sure this would go Bandai or Funimation.

Its got a really good director, and the original story is one of the best out there. It looks to be high budget with great animation as well, so theres little chance it won't end up being a really good adaption. All they've gotta do is follow the story and it should be an easy 8.4-8.5 rating kinda show.

Persona 4 getting licensed was a given...no surprise here.

Well yeah, someone would grab it. I expected Funimation though since they'd easily be able to get together the original cast for the dub. It'll be tough to sell this dubbed using different actors, and with Sentai being Texas based, the original cast is unlikely.

The one of the only anime I can think of that it doesn't sound right in Japanese, unless they get different dub-actors.

Didn't expect Sentai to license it, but nice acquisition regardless.

And to all of you who're concerned whether Sentai's going to use their own voice actors or not, keep in mind that they're bringing back the cast for the Rozen Maiden OVA that has been previously unlicensed stateside, so there's hope.

Well I knew it had to get licensed sooner or later, because it is fairly popular over here. But man, these shows just keep getting licensed faster and faster.

I really would like to watch this dubbed (never thought I'd say that). Since the Japanese version is having all of their same voice actors, I'm really hoping that Sentai will follow the trend. I'm gonna put my faith in Sentai to follow through, even if it's hoping for a lost cause. But meh.

Wow even the licensing companies know that this Fall is going to be a top tier season for anime. For some reason, that makes me happy.

Ugh Sentai. So we can expect this to be released in 2012 as a thinpack with crappy packaging, an insertable paper sleeve and no extras. Awesome.

I... I'm of course happy that P4 will be getting licensed but I was really hoping that it'd be funimation who licensed it. I can see them getting the same voice actors/actresses from the but I don't know remotely enough about Sentai to say the same. That's not to say that only the game VA will be good, but it'll definitely be different.

Sadly yes. I would rather that NISA would have gotten it since they have premium packages for all their releases and have also begun releasing BR/DVD combopaks while Sentai have not.

I really hope they can get the original VAs for the DUB, there are few anime I would want to watch in English but this is certainly one. I'm just way too used to the games dub after 60 hours of gameplay.

Will buy if dubbed that is all. I haven't played the games so I guess if they have different actors its not going to bug me.

It does worry me though since ADV didn't use the original cast from the Xenosaga game when they dubbed the anime. So they might do the same here very likely. -___-

The last persona anime adaption failed miserably. It remains to be seen whether this adaption will deviate from the past adapation's faulty execution. We'll have to wait and watch.

Nooooooooooooo!

And I wanted a dub, too. >:'I A GOOD dub. With the original cast, if possible. But my hopes for that have been dashed.

This will also make getting fansubs harder.

Sentai, go to hell.

ALSO! As someone who has played and ADORED the game, the press release information is SO EXTREMELY WRONG. This will be a horrible trainwreck.

Yu Narukami's FAMILY moves to Inaba? The Midnight Channel is a VIDEO GAME WORLD? "Game-within-a-game"? What? Huh? Do they think the whole game is about the Void Quest dungeon?

I'm really angry right now. Couldn't Bandai or Funimation have gotten this, instead? There is no fucking way Sentai will do P4 justice.
