| Madoka topping the BD chart doesn't surprise me. as that was expected since volume 1. I am a bit surprised at YuruYuri doing so well. I mean, I loved the show, but I didn't know it was this well-received in Japan as well. |

| Dog Days ftw, Airi's song hit the charts as well. Mayo Chiki in 15th that's a surprise. Oh nice the marrying couple in Yuru Yuri have their songs in the ranking, right next to each other as well. I can see them fighting over which of their songs are better. Ikoku Meiro only getting 1700 in sales is a big disappointment, I guess Japan doesn't enjoy their lolis too ladylike. |

I don't know if that's a typo or what, but I fail to see what's particularly homosexual about UtaPri given that it's a male harem otome game adaptation. It's selling because it's enjoyable, silly fun, has rather good production values and is just all around well-made. And I say this as a guy - I rather liked it. Not enough to import, but if you ask me it's a lot better than many of the female harem shows for which I'm supposed to be the target audience. Really, I'd think by now people would have gotten over the sales success that certain fujoshi shows enjoy. UtaPri and Natsume (I am importing the latter) are currently the two best selling shows of the season and probably won't be topped (given the oddities of Idolmaster's release and how it will or rather won't be counted accurately). If you ask me variety is a good thing. Not all anime needs to be aimed at guys. These shows are never going to displace my top favorites but a fun show is a fun show. Sure is logical, rational, well thought out and understanding post around here... are you sure you're in the right forums? That being said Uta Pri selling more then Natsume is weird if understandable. Natsume is just amazing. (Uta Pri was a fun time though, haters gonna hate) |

BakaTest isn't doing so hot (even if it probably did about 2k BDs, which we'll find out on Thursday), but Yuru Yuri did very well. Sure you didn't overlook its Blu Ray sales? DVD: 1,425 BD: 8,367 Total: 9,792 - third highest vol. 1 of Summer so far, could even pass Natsume and take second, and just a very good number no matter how you slice it, especially for a yuri show. Basically, YRYR is one of the biggest hits of the summer season... Oh that is a relief. I think I just looked at DVDs. |

| There's a lot of variety on this list; that's unusual, since it's always been the same old, same old. Glad to see a lot of titles up there, like A-Channel, AnoHana, Oreimo, Baka to Test, Gintama, and then the usuals. IS: Infinite Stratos is still up there...*sigh* And oh, wow, No.6...hahaha that last episode was priceless. XD |
