I've seen clips of this a few times on adult swim, and I know that it was dubbed but it didnt seem to great... I watched kenshin and loved it, but Inuyasha just looks like an anime trying to be kenshin and DBZ at the same time... I'm wondering what your opinions are on this, since I hate DBZ.

If you're looking for an anime that brings something new to the 'modern girl in an ancient land' trope, Inuyasha is not for you. It's entertaining enough, but it's really nothing special.

I would say this: Inuyasha is not like dbz at all.
It's a good show because of the characters, and not so much the plotline-
I enjoyed basically every episode.
Every day you spend without a smile, is a lost day.

Inuyasha *is* DBZ for girls. So there.

Nothing inherently wrong with that, DBZ is underrated anyway.
Peace through Superior Firepower!

Are you using some kind of advanced logic I don't know about? Have you decided to assign new meanings to English words? Are you just intentionally burning a straw man and knowing full well that you're changing the subject and misrepresenting a claim?

Great series, it's actually one of the few dubs i'll watch if it's on TV. Both the dub and the japanese version are good.

Avoid this anime at all costs now that you've seen DBZ.

Seriously, it has a lot of the same elements.

It starts good, and have good development on the earlier episode, but turns slow and lame on the middle-end episode.
That's all, if only it is not *that* long, and know when to stop, it have good chance to be decent anime - I were gave it 7/10 point overall when I watch the earlier epiosde, and now I rate it 4 :_(.

it doesn't look like DBZ at all.. I dont like DBZ either, but InuYasha is one of my favorite anime series. Its a mix of action, romance and a bit comedy.. its awesome :3 I really like the characters, and the story too.. =)

edit: the reason why there arent many sites with english subbed vids is because the japanese voices suck.. normally i prefer japanese voices with English subs, but from InuYasha I like the dubbed ones more, they fit the personality more and the English voices have got better quality, it sounds like those people have more experience.

If you still want to watch the subbed ones, then visit this site:
