Damn, I can't believe Nichijou is over now. It feels like I'm back to reality. Now, what am I going to watch for random quirky humours? There is second season of Ika Musume coming out this fall, but I'll probably never find a perfect substitute for Kyoani's ambitious project like Nichijou. :(
P.S: Please someone help Nano with the screw on her back T_T
I'm touched by this last ep.
The ending was great for this kind of genre, and the last scene of Mio and Yuuko was like a deja vu (lol).
All of the character in this series gets their ending in this last ep. Marvelous!
I guess it was a sweet ending, but I don't think I laughed at all this ep. And Nichijou is all about the laughs. So I kind of think they should have ended with the last ep!
Anyway, although this show didn't have much in the way of character development or even plot, I really enjoyed some of the characters and the humour was fantastic. I'm giving it a 6/10 overall, which I'm still a bit unsure about (usually I don't give extra marks for pure-comedy shows) but whatevs.
Absolutely beautiful ending.... I know I will miss it!! :C
You know they say that if you love something a lot you should let it go, and if it comes back to you, then you know it loves you back. COME BACK TO ME NICHIJOUUUUUUU

But the whole point of comedy is to be funny!!! That makes no sense at all.. Now everyone is going to think you hated Nichijou.

Perfect screencap! I feel like making an icon out of it hahhaa.
And so it ends, and Nano becomes proud of who she is.
The jokes in Nichijou have been hits-and-misses. Some jokes can be obnoxious and over the top at times (namely Mai, on some occasions). And then there are jokes that I could only expect Japanese literates to understand. That's all okay since the majority of the skits are absolutely hilarious. (Our enjoyment being proportional to their unfortunateness).
In addition, the natural artstyle and quirky characters are bonuses.
Bravo Kyoani, you've once again managed to entertain us.

Pretty much this. I had thought about giving the series a round 10, but the last 4 or 5 episodes fell short of my expectations. It was a fun ride indeed, such an absurd-driven comedy which bases solely on random jokes and characters' traits is a rare case. And for it to be actually funny is a real godsend - ever since Azumanga we didn't have a chance to see anything similar, that's why Nichijou needs to be rewarded for bringing about that very specific kind of humor.
Well, I'm rather disappointed that many of the subplots, especially romantic ones, didn't get resolved. Nevertheless, this isn't a romance series but a comedy series, and in that regard, it has been quite successful. KyoAni managed to turn around what seemed to be a disappointment to me into something I consistently enjoyed. Bravo. 8/10.
great ending to a great anime!!!
from ep.1, i knew this was gonna be a great series, and there are way too many hilarious moments in nichijou, and i won't be forgetting the likes of yukko, sakamato etc!!!XD
Wish that another show as greatly random as this will be availabe this fall, cause to be frank, i'm gonna miss the hell out of this show!!!!
Sure some jokes/episodes aren't as funny as others, but considering the length of the anime, I can't expect every single one to make me laugh. A majority of them did.
What's more important is the characters, voice acting and art. Even though I already know what's gonna happen in a certain scene, it's still fun just to see and hear them. This makes the series highly re-watchable.
