| one of the best losses I've seen, so glad he didn't win. why was his mom smiling at him coming home with that many injuries? even if he was happy about it you'd think she'd still be concerned, especially since I don't think he's told her what he's doing yet. looking forward to the bullies becoming his fanboys (not a spoiler, just wishful thinking) |
| Really inspirational episode, even though he lost you could just feel the intensity and raw emotion shine through this episode, and I'm sure it will only get better from here. This series was definitely worth picking up ^^ |

| Even after many years, re-watching this episode and especially the ending got me just as emotional as the first time. I really can't put into words how good this series was and still is. The world needs more anime like this. Looking forward to seeing Takamura, Kimura and Aoki's antics from here on out. ^^ Definitely re-watching it to the end. |
