Pokemon hasn't been shown in cinemas for years, isn't it? I'm not 100% sure about America, because I don't live there. It's a great development anyway, maybe some other anime movies will find their way to the cinemas this way, and would get more popular because of that. I'm not expecting much more than these Pokemon films though, actually.

Well some films like Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, Redline, and Rebuild of Evangelion got limited showings in select theaters in the US.

Myself, I planned on going to one, but I never followed through.

I know, but I actually meant a more wider offer in cinemas.
Some of the very popular anime films have even been shown at some cinema in The Netherlands, where I live, but that's the only cinema in whole the country having two anime showings a year. So it can be even worse...

Every pokemon move is EXACTLY the same. They are start the same way, have a few legenday pokemon, and end the same exact way. They should just stick to making pokemon games.

Pokemon movies have always been my guilty pleasure even though I don't watch the show anymore. So I'll be sure to rent both movies or just wait until Cartoon Network shows them. :P

Now all that's left is to wait until my mom makes me drag my little sisters to the movies so they can squeal and yell about it. They're always like that when it comes to Pokemon. -.-V

Some of the pokemon movies honestly weren't bad standalones.

I haven't seen these two obviously, but the Darkrai one, though lacking in some parts had a good backstory going. That and the main theme for the movies are usually pretty good.

Cool. I'm always game for a good Pokemon movie. Hopefully, it'll come somewhere around where I live.

This. With how things are progressing with the pokemon games and media, it makes me wonder why the franchise hasn't imploded. Probably has too much money and too large a fanbase to die.

But on the other hand, in theaters? The last time that happened was with Pokemon 2000 I think...
