it would be amazing if the movie showed the characters´life after the anime xOOO

Hell yes, I can't wait.

I will kill someone if it is just another summary of a few episodes like they did with the Shakugan no Shana Movie and the majority of other "Anime Movies". (Don't get me wrong I actually liked the Shakugan no Shana Movie)

Mayuri is gonna die. They have an ancient history together, remember the hourglass and desert scene? They made a love pact promise with each other along time ago..

It BETTER not be a remake. They have a TON of room to do SO much more.

I was so sad that it finished. Even if it is summary i m glad i ll see some more Steins;Gate. El psy congroo...

Hell yeah! I'm content with the series only but, hopefully, we get to see some happy future.

Possibly another path in the Visual Novel? I just realized you could sum up the events of Steins;Gate in a few episodes.

I do hope that it shows Kurisu's and Okabe's life afterwards.

Shoot, it'll probably be around this time next year when this movie first comes out, and then probably another 6 months before it makes it over here to the US.

I usually don't follow too many recent animes, since there's tons of awesome animes from the past, but I picked up Steins Gate last week though and couldn't put it down. Unfortunately one of the pains of following a show as it airs/shortly after it aired is the wait time for sequels.

*sigh*, Well I'm going to be upset for a bit until Steins;Gate slips from my memory. I guess I'll be back in a year to check up on the status... until then, stay golden

I hope it tells the story of Okabe and Kurisu in Alpha World Line. How they branch their path. I'm dead curious...

My thoughts about Movie just after finishing season 1 (at 3:30 am)

"Not sure if it's gonna be exactly a sequel as I can't think of anything at the moment they could add as after story and which would not make it into cash cow at the same time but Movie might be alternative retelling or side story ...
Ofc if they actually manage to add proper after story , that would be awesome. But definitely, it's not gonna be simple "how they live happily ever after". because 1) there's special on its way as ep 25, 2) those guys would not be doing Movie just for purpose of showing us how Characters live happily ever after , would they ? haha "

A lot of question left unanswered, like how Kurisu got involved with CERN in the world alpha(is it?), how Okabe found the resistance and get killed, how they managed to complete a near perfect time machine, how the world war III started and why is it possible to end with Kurisu alive, and some other minor details i can't really remember..
I hope the movie will clearly explain everything, and i'd love to see how 2036 looks like...

Don't forget the question why Kyouma got the reading steiner in the first place.

A lot of that is answered, and developed in the short story 'The Distant Valhalla', a sidestory that talks about what would have happened in the Alpha Worldline

But it's really depressing. I hope they don't adapt that for the movie... :\

WW3 is talked about in ep 23 of the anime

It's possible for Kurisu to end up alive because the final Worldline, dubbed 'Steins;Gate' is a separate Worldline from Alpha and Beta: it's the only worldline that's not affected by the Attractor Fields. When Okabe goes back the final time, he initiates the events necessary to 'switch out' of Beta Worldline and into Steins;Gate.

^I think they said Kyouma's Reading Steiner had something to do with Mayuri wishing on a shooting star that he wouldn't die or something. I don't really get how it works exactly though~

Hoping they show WW3 and the events leading to it.

That's the only thing I can think of for a plot since there's no time machine at the end of the TV series.
