remember how father Fujimoto was possessed by satan? i'm assuming it's similar with Yukia at this point.

the story took a HUGE twist, so it almost seems like a new series altogether now, but the art seems pretty much the same to me.

I can't say I understand why people hate this and come on here just to complain. Not only that, but they're snide about it instead of rationally stating why they dislike it. If they presented a reason for their dislike of this anime, I might actually hear their opinion, because I understand tastes are subjective. But coming on here to drop a random complaint about how it's deviating from the manga or has changed into a "filler" anime (when this is clearly NOT filler) helps nobody. It's actually very childish, and it misrepresents the people who rationally dislike the anime.

Anyway, yeah. That's a 5 for me. The storytelling is very quickly paced, but I'm not sure whether or not it's doing a poor job. I won't be able to say until the end of 25 whether this season was a success, and that will really be based on how they tie things together. I hope we get a look back at how all of these events transpired (and possibly a lead-in to the deus ex machina that's heading our way) because this particular arc could use further exploration. It's possible that the anime might even set the way for future manga arcs.

The episode was incredible however. Sensationalist? Just a pinch. (Understatement.) No, "kill all demons" is not an original concept, but it's a common concept in literature, film, and animation. I won't say it's overused because I think any idea can be reused effectively with the proper execution. Either way, I look forward to what they bring next.

I think it was pretty obvious. Seeing as how Rin was being sacrificed, Yukio got his flames out and started killing the exorcists to save Rin... but it was too late, and the Gate opened (leaving Rin badly injured, or even dead). Or maybe it was the gate that killed the exorcists and thus, Yukio, seeing Rin "die", he got all his demonic powers out, ready to kill Grampa. Anyways, I bet it's Yukio's true form, didn't you see the claws when he attacked Rin? Or the scene few episodes earlier with the blood test (or something like that)?, even Shura was telling Yukio about his demon powers. I don't think he's possessed by Satan.

Anyways, Fujimoto at the end was surprising. Looking forward to the next episode!

I don't care if the storyline is different from the manga, as long as it's good. I'll read the manga later.

I'm also hoping there's a remake years later when the manga is finished! The concept's pretty good, and it would be awesome.

Oh shit Yukio became Satan !

Things feel so scattered and rushed, this grandpa came out of left field, took over the Vatican and shit ensues... Everyone follows blindly, I just don't know what I will rate this anymore... Also everyone's saying Yukio became Satan. Though maybe he just got extremely pissed and his demon powers were released? I mean they said that only the strongest of the strong were the types that Satan could take over. Yukio is no where near his adopted fathers strength and ability so it just doesn't make sense to me that he would be possessed. Last note to what I have seen others say, I don't think they will kill off their main character. So I highly doubt Rin will die.

LOVED this episode, the most story driven episode yet!

On a side note, was this whole concept a deviation from the manga to make an end for the series?

If so, would have preferred non deviation, left open for another season.

Yea Fujimoto ... I mean ... did satan put him into his closet just in case he needs him? Or what other explanation is there to unpack him now? (Unless the preview was showing a flashback.... ^^)

This whole episode was MESSED UP from start to end & here I was just starting to think that ao no exorcist would end great...sigh..nonetheless i am disappointed too much........

Btw did anyone see that new anime at the end of the episode?I have read the manga form of it & it is rated pretty here on mal too.i am happy that it got animated^_^

i'm not sure if i like the way this story is going.
