| Chance and coincidence. Bad luck and accidents. I know there's science in the balls getting stuck, and the balls tilting to the left on the third plate, but even when marathoning these episodes, the complete reliance now on luck is annoying. If or when Kaiji wins this, I guess the only lesson he can take away is that if you don't plan perfectly and execute perfectly, you'll end up relying solely on luck and chance to take you to victory. I think it's this reliance that's annoying me right now in the arc. There have been quite a few past gambling times where this reliance straight out loses Kaiji the match. But, I guess when your opponent thinks he's out of tricks to play and is just as strongly relying on Lady Luck to have you lose, then these brute force chance tactics are all okay. =/ If anything, I'm surprised the Chairman is still entertained. |

I watched it in pretty much one day... and I think that's why I've come to hate this show. I guess when you watch it weekly you don't notice how much it is really dragged out as you'll forget parts from the week before etc. This series could have been done with 12 episodes instead of 25, I think it would have been much better that way. |

Yeah if you watch a show weekly its flaws will bother you less than watching it all at once. I've watched it daily actually, average 4 episodes a day. |

| This is such a tease ;-; It showed so many shots of the balls going into the jackpot hole only to snap back to reality every time. Kaiji had some godly luck by having all the devil tray holes blocked but damn it, it was so close then goddamn Ichijou set up his trump card at the very last second... Kaijiiiiiii! |

| Tbh I cant help but feel its dragging it out now. He's literally cleared everything and theres STILL not going in. We've been on the Borg plot for a while now and they've done the "he's gonna win" tease like 3 times now. Its gonna make when he actually wins much cheaper if they use the same music etc. Honestly when he failed the first time I was like "Ok, probably shounen logic where fails once and wins the second" then he lost again. So I was like "Ok third times the charm I guess and he even has a bunch of plans and luck" then he loses again. Ok so at this point Im like "Ok, he's literally blocked EVERYTHING!! There is no way he can lose". Still loses. I hope they are able to make it interesting when he finally does win but yeah, does feel dragged out now. I guess I expected that to an extent cause I can see the images on MAL for the last few episodes and they were still at the Borg. I can see people's opinions are going one of two ways: Very excited from the tension or like me thinking its dragging on for too long. |
