So far the manga stopped at chapter 29. I started reading right where the anime left off and there isn't really enough material for a season 2 yet. I really wish they would start working on the manga again to improve the chances of a second season.

Who hate it must not like zombies cause they to afraid of them *cough* pyroplayer.

Said who? Where's your evidence? There's been way too many rumors for the past 2 years regarding the release of new seasons or chapters concerning hotd that never came true.

Umm, are you sure? It could just be another stupid rumor. I'm definitely not getting my hopes up for something that might not happen.

Also they are still only at chapter 29 in the manga after almost a year has passed. I really want a season 2 to come, but the chances of that happening are getting smaller and smaller.

the thing we REALLY need to hope for is a chapter 30 of the manga to come out. if it does, it means the franchise is still alive. I'm not worrying too much about season 2 coming out because I'm sure they will make a season 2 AS LONG AS they finish the manga story. Then they'll have enough new material for a 12-episode season 2 anime.


Once the two satos start churning out the manga chapters again, I'm sure they'll choose to end the story within a couple volumes. They cannot afford to test the patience of fans again with another 1+ year long hiatus. If that happens again, even a hardcore fan like me will be pissed off too much to follow the series again with any fervor.


So just hope for chapter 30 to come out later this year (hopefully around halloween), and hope for steady progress towards the end of the story. Only then will MadHouse consider completing the anime series with a season 2.

... and also cross your fingers and hope none of the survivors die... especially Saeko...

although I must agree, if Saeko does die by sacrificing herself, that would make the story SUPER EPIC and DEEP.

Looks like a season 2 might be coming our way in the future specially because of the enormous amount of fans that HOTD got.

High school of the dead may be end up dead as no one knows what's happening they say the author got an accident and will contine it some say it will stop i said it will continue not because i want it but in the ova it say it will continue sora no otoshimono say that it's own movie will be next and that it will continue and kore wa zombie desuka if it did not say it will continue i was thinking of it as finished but didn't they continue it may be for HOTD they are not finding the base for the episode to continue but as for me they did not say it will continue in the final episode of 12 so no continue but as they did say it in the OVA the possibility of it is 70% as if not not only will they lose people reading there article but they will lose credit so it is better it continued.

I can write season two in my sleep. They battle through zombies. Few more adventures. Make their way to an island. And the two lucky bastards start repopulating the earth. Series ends everyone is happy.

Just don't try to force the panty shots etc and let them be part of the show naturally and these series would be amazing, not just good.
