The series didn't hit me on the first try (#1), but I did later on.

3 episodes, and no laugh? You better drop it.

See? No one forcing you to watch it anyway

Nichijou is surprisingly slow-paced, so it takes time to build up. If you don't like it by episode 8, then you should probably drop it. I'm only watching because a friend recommended it to me. It's basically an Azumanga Daioh copy-cat, so it depends whether that style of humor appeals to you. Sometimes it's nice to have an anime where you can just turn your brain off. This is one of them.

While the comparison is warranted, it's not a full Azumanga copycat because it focuses on absurd humor rather than observational. Of course, this also means if you like one, you're not guaranteed to like the other. I happen to like both, and loved Nichijou from episode 1.

There's also a lot of conservation of detail. Expect some events to start in one segment and not actually complete until segments or entire episodes later.

If you don't think it's funny from the get-go, don't bother with the anime. It probably doesn't suit your tastes. That's not a bad thing although I do suggest watching Azumanga Diaoh as an alternative and see whether you like that instead.

I don't understand, there doesn't even seem to be anything that is meant to be funny about this show. I did like the deer and principal scene. Hakase and Nano are sometimes quite fun to watch so I'll continue it...

the humor's lame, as boring as kill me baby or acchi kocchi
gintama, danshi koukousei no nichijou, ichigo mashimaro, these are the masterpieces
