But now why Madoka and not Hanasaku Iroha? HanaIro is just a regular slice of life. It's quite a decent show, but it's not extraordinary, breathtaking or "glued to your screen" type of show. Many people question why the award was given to Okada Mari. Fractale was a general disaster and HanaIro was originally developping into something special, but kind of went the generic slice of life route. ![]() |

It's nice to see Hetalia up there for the ONA category. Better than...say Starry Sky or another ONA attempt. It's also great to see Madoka. I'm very pleased. *thumbs up* ![]() |

OrochiPL said: But now why Madoka and not Hanasaku Iroha? If you're seriously asking that question, you must not take much note of how shows are received in Japan. Hanasaku is liked well enough and selling pretty well. But, at the moment at least, Madoka is being pretty widely hailed as the most significant TV anime for adults since Evangelion. Agree or disagree, it really should be a complete no brainer that Madoka would get the recognition. BUY YUYUSHIKI BDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY |

Who? *looks up* Seems... reasonable, I think? Not familiar with her work myself, but I hear good things. If you measure a production team by how many episodes they can produce, sure... Was Redline not elligible? Remind me never to pay attention to the Animation Kobe Awards ever again. The judges must have been a bunch of Yaoi fangirls... ...with shit taste in music. Forums make me sick. |

Madoka is good, a contender for anime of the year, but steins;gate should win it unless something better comes out in fall. Im not joining on the hype train, as Im actually watching both at the same time, but madoka really is overrated by quite a lot of people. 8.5/10 yes, but not 10/10 by no means. As for completed animes, it is the best and therefore deserves the award |

Me approves of these results :333 I'm especially proud of Puella Magi winning that one! Let's see if it can grab the other anime award in october... Seems tough because IMO Ano Hana, Mawaru Penguin-drum and Usagi Drop pose a serious threat as they have also accliamed universal praise :< |

Having seen both this is most deserved end result as Sayonara no Tsubasa is a better film and just as overpowering competitor as Disappearance was last year |
