He was wearing a hood ... and it's not like he could have recognized his voice or something O_O Hmm, so he's using fake cards and cheating ... well, to be expected I guess. Although kinda dumb to admit his plan, but whatever, typical villain right. I think I saw a Millennium mark on his forehead in the preview? :O |

| This Exodia-tactic isn't that dumb, but I guess now, that Yugi figured his tactic out, he will use "card destruction" or something like that. I mean, he can't win in one round. I like that they're using new cards now, it was getting boring to see the same cards everytime. |

| Alrighty, Battle City has officially started. Haha, so this is the episode where some of the Abridged Series' opening comes from. Those 会社員 wondering what those young whippersnappers are doing with those devices on their wrists. I liked the exchange between them and the generic, edgy duelists lol. So the first duel is between Yuugi and Rare Hunter. Mayne, Exodia was sooo good back in the day. Not sure how it fares today, but I remember my brother had an LOB 1st edition Exodia the Forbidden One card. Yuugi's determined not to let the Ghoul summon Exodia! Let's see how he puts an end to his plans |
| Kaiba mentioned that there's 48 participants in the tournament (not counting the Ghouls I guess?) but the crowd scenes showing duelists with duel disks made it seem like there's a lot more people involved. Also I thought it was interesting that the writers had Yugi activate Light of Intervention; there was literally no need for it since most duelists in DM played their monsters in face-up Defense position anyways. But I guess they just wanted to promote more cards from the Curse of Anubis pack? Also it's weird that Kaiba let the duel continue even though the Rare Hunter had fake cards. Plus it's impressive that fake cards even worked on the duel disk at all. |
