well, the otakus in japan always compare her to Konata... thinking that she was an angel, a pure girl, etc... and then she reveals about her sex life, that she hate the creepy otakus, and then she create stories of being abducted to call atention on her and that's why the people start to hate her
if you search on sankakucomplex you'll understand a lot more of this hate xD

Good riddance, I guess. Some of their decisions in this past year have been pretty retarded and I believe agencies in Japan have far more power over their talent than in other countries.

Hopefully she'll do more voice work now.

As a fan of her voicing Suzumiya Haruhi, I think this is great news. IMO Lucy Heartfilia has also has huge shoes to fill.

I'd rather there be no more Haruhi if there were plans to have a replacement seiyuu.

I don't really hate or like her, but she have done many great roles so far and she's quite talent so it'll be a loss if she really quite voice acting

Ehh I don't think the status of a seiyuu's virginity should affect the quality of their voice. Unless, of course, they excessively performed a certain oral act. But even then, if they restricted themselves to just that act, their virginity would still be intact. Rather, I'm hoping that some of the older seiyuu's (approaching 30s) would gave had their first time by now, because they are at the age where they are really missing out if they continue to maintain celibacy.
