I actually like Kazumi's haircut when she was little, not to say that she isn't beautiful now. I think the planting thing is a great thing though; I gotta keep that in mind when I have a child.

Kouki is such a brat though.

They are on their first year of elementary school.

She's interested in flakes and thought it's for snack. She said it's like dog food

Kouki and Rin together is so cute. They're like the perfect pair, one being practical and the other making mischief. This show is just so great and always makes me feel happy. I was in something of a downcast mood since yesterday and this cheered me right up. ^_^

Oh, and did the ending change a bit with the tree and Rin wearing a backpack? Maybe it's changed every time and I only now just noticed it - I usually don't watch the ED, just listen to it.

Sure, it would be nice in thee end. Kouki is cool

I love the faces that Rin makes. Always makes me laugh. I wish my parents planted me a tree like that, but then again we always moved from house to house, so that probably wouldn't have been a good idea.

At the opening scene with the picture taking I suddenly realized how much Kouki seemed to be like Daikichi, then the whole episode hinted more and more at Daikichi having been a similar kid. I laughed quite loud at the map Rin's mother drew, like Daikichi I was thinking "Isn't she supposed to draw manga?" lol

If I have a kid I'm going to plant them a tree.

And I'm hopeful that something is gonna happen between Daikichi and Yukari. They seem fit for each other.

A contribution in regards to Loquat seeds. It does not take like 10 years and the following says "Small, white, fragrant flowers are borne in fall/early winter in panicles at the ends of the branches, giving way to one- to two-inch oval yellowish clustering fruit in the summer (March through June). " So it takes at most 1 year.
