According to the official website of toy retailer Mega House, a new series of Code Geass will start this winter. It's uncertain if they meant Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito by "new series".

Update on August 29th
Amazon Japan has listed the DVD of Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito and set the release month to be this November. However, it's quite common that Amazon lists a false item.

Update on October 17th
According to Amazon Japan, the DVD Box sets of Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch was announced to be released on January 27th. Trailers of Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito will be included in the sets. Thus it's unlikely that Akito will be released before February 2012.

Considering how they wrapped up R2, it makes me wonder just what the heck it'll be about.

The rumors all say it'll be a spin-off, but i'd rather a sequel.

If it was a sequel featuring Lelouch and CC the wise witch traveling the countryside on their cart dealing with neo-economics I'd dig.

More CG is very very welcome. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Why not let Goro Taniguchi handle the direction??

So i suppose this is totally unrelated to the previous seasons? Except for the Geass thing itself. Or even CC

As long as it can be a stand alone of some sort and none of the characters from previous series appear I'll be happy. The last thing I want is to deal with any leftovers from the second season.

if there's no Lelouch what's the point? he makes the series. if it's some side story with none of the same characters why call it Code Geass? sounds like a lame spin off..... bah. give us what we want!

As does every single character designed by CLAMP.

Might watch... probably not. The first two seasons were excellent and wrapped everything up, no need for more really.
