Because they are just perfect together. *o* I mean I think there are so many moments in the anime that prove they could be together. I especially love the part where they were kids and so he didn't lose her he made her his 'hostage'. Plus I love how he keeps going back in time and will do anything to save her. They were so meant to be. (:

The part were they were younger was like the sweetest thing ever. <3 It was like what made them become my favorite pairing in Steins;Gate. :3 And you are right she is special to him,

Kurisu's cool and everything, but she doesn't go with Okabe. :P

I support this pairing because Okabe's whole shtick exists because of Mayuri. He became mad scientist Hououin Kyouma and took her in as his hostage because he loves her.

Meh. I disliked episode 22. >_< How dare it have the whole Kurisu x Okarin thing!? Okarin and Mayuri BELONG together but apparently the people who control the anime think otherwise. >:( I hope it's not like that in the VN.

And I hope we don't lose any more members who have fallen victim to episode 22 and the pairing of Kurisu x Okabe. :(

...You know I never really thought about that but you're right. Kurisu probably did know...THEN HOW DARE SHE!? Kurisu obviously isn't a good friend to Mayuri by stealing her Okarin. :P

I REALLY love this anime and about to give it a 10. But the last three episodes (start with ep 22) ruin it all!!
Grrrr Kurisu!! I never liked her from the beginning and now I just hate her...

Mayushii and Okarin is cute. I'm not going to explain because my opinion is pretty much the same with all of you guys! <3

I hate how Kurisu is just a newcomer and she is so special just because she is so genious! and Okarin falls for her and confess and kiss her!! Arrg those scenes killed me T^T

If you support this so badly, there's an option for you. There's and ending in the VN (divergence 1.130238%) where Okabe and Mayuri end up as a couple. It's hard to get that ending though. I think the most common ending in the VN is Suzuha's ending, where she attempts to go back in time to find the IBN5100, but loses her memory and fails (just like the anime).
