According to Cinema Today, Suzuki Toshio disclosed at a talk session that Miyazaki Hayao is producing an anime of his own autobiography. Studio Ghibli was surprised at Suzuki's sudden disclosure and they refused to give more information about the anime. Source: Cinema Today |

An anime.... about making anime. Are they gonna end it with him making this anime. Then that anime would be of him making an anime with it ending with him making an anime about making anime |

I'm kind of interested and I'd watch just about anything done by Hayao Miyazaki. |

So, if this film is his autobiography, does that mean he' going to retire after this? Anyway, an autobiographical work should be more interesting to watch than his standard fare. I'm not saying they aren't good (though I found some of his works to be quite a bit better than others), just that this is different from anything he has done before. |

Maybe it will be in the same vein of Millennium Actress where he's interspersed reality with the fantasy of his films. Miyazaki in... My Neighbour Kiki Rosso Hime of the Moving Valley by the Sea Spirited Castle. |

His movies were basically all big mindfucks anyways, so make it even moreso.Maybe it will be in the same vein of Millennium Actress where he's interspersed reality with the fantasy of his films. Oh wow amazing!! You know it's going to be about him but in some different twisted enjoyable way; like a story about a penguin's adventure that has to be deeply read into to be connected~ I really can't wait ;-; I love Miyazaki's work!!♥ |

If anyone else was doing this, I'd probably think it was self indulgent. But after 40+ years of writing, directing and animating and making anime such a wide spread medium, I think he can get away with it. |

So Miyazaki's talents have been exhausted and now Miyazaki is a cash cow. Plato is my friend — Aristotle is my friend — but my greatest friend is truth |
