According to Shueisha, Yabuki Kentaro's manga "Mayoi Neko Overrun!" was announced to end. The serialization of the manga had been suspended since last November. Shueisha has also announced that the original illustrator of the novel Peko has quit the art author of Mayoi Neko Overrun! novel. The illustrator of the art will be switched in every new volume from the tenth volume to be released on August 25th. Yasu and Hikawa Hekiru will be in charge of the arts of the tenth and eleventh volumes, respectively.

Imo, the anime was horrible and the manga was just as bad. Bland and generic. This isn't bad news for me.

The art was one of the main reasons I wanted to follow it. Shame to hear that Peko quit.

Although PPD art looks pretty neat-o.

It wasn't amazing but certainly enjoyable since it didn't over do ecchiness.

It was a pain to finish the anime once I started it, and from what I've heard, the manga wasn't that much better either. A pity for the fans, but not much loss in general.

An ecchi/harem manga less in the world. What a pity, since we only have 9001 left.

Been wondering what happened to the manga. And it's only coz of Yabuki's art that it's readable.
Oh well, at least Yabuki can focus on TLR Darkness now.

so whose going to take over this project since both authors have simply "quit" it anyway and it has to be someone who knows what they should be doing with the storyline along with the art as well.

Sad to hear. Less of Yabuki's art out there is always a bad thing, since he's easily one of the best artists in the industry atm.

Frankly this is the best thing ive heard all day. Not to mention It doesnt even compare to Black Cat. I sometimes wonder why they even made the anime addaption. At least now we can hope he will sit down and think twice before drawing something like MNO again.

I'm afraid to see what the artwork will look like for the Light Novels going forward.

Generic Response: To Love Darkness will now get all the attention it fully deserves.
