Hmm, gonna go with Karas. It's pretty, but not much more. The first half is fairly solid, but then second half introduces pro-nature/anti-human motivations out of absolutely nowhere
Oh, really? Sounds interesting. I'm anti-human and pro-nature, which is a rare topic in anime, so I'm gonna watch Karas someday.

11eyes - the story was alright, but when it finally gets intense, it basically just ends.

I wouldn't recommend Ergo Proxy (slow, boring, wannabe-philosophical, nothing happens), Gantz (distasteful and annoying bunch of ecchi and gore), and Denpa Teki Na Kanojo (remotely enjoyable if you are a horror fan, but incomplete and not a must watch).

I'd recommend Mnemosyne (a stunning OAV, if you don't mind blood, torture, nudity, and yuri), Kurokami (one of the best shounen anime around, imo), and Serial Experiments Lain (total mindfuck, far from being perfect, but checking it out is a must).

And people, my PTW list is massive, so trying to un-recommend me more than one single anime would be very appreciated. I organized my list by priority, so stop telling me about 11 Eyes, which is not between my top priorities. Thank you.

Do not waste your time on High school of the dead and plastic little. Both uselessly ecchi that is frustratingly a tease rather than enjoyable.

Ugh, Hakuouki. The main character, Chizuru, is exceptionally irritating and seems to have a severe lack of common sense. The story is rushed, far too melodramatic and the only redeeming part of the anime for me was the fabulous eye-candy (ie the Shinsengumi). The OP and the ED are excellent though.

I do, however, recommend that you watch Mononoke and Juuni Kokki! Two of my all time favourite anime. Watch them nooow.

Karas, it's really nothing but nice animation and good art and too long to be enjoyable for simply that.
Check out our new Simul Watch CLUB and join if you're interested in watching stuff together with other people online to discuss about it in a more private and detailed matter than the episode discussion subforums can provide.

I don't recommend Ergo Proxy, Bartender, and Summer Wars to anyone. The first two are extremely slow-paced and boring to watch, hardly anything happens. The latter is a colorful, childish, overhyped ripoff of the great Digimon movie.

I'd recommend Fushigi Yuugi and Karekano even if you're not a shoujo fan. Anyway, they are good, but have their flaws. FY is not a bad series at all, but it's long, and the manga is slightly better. KK is great, but the second half of the anime is terrible, and the anime is overall inferior to the manga. I'd say, watch some episodes, and if you don't like them, drop them.

I loved the manga of Red Garden, and I highly recommend it.

@ Higashi_no_Kaze

I don't recommend 5 CM Per Second (overrated, boring, sappy), Le Chevalier D'Eon (really bad and boring anime, not enjoyable nor remarkable), Millennium Actress (not memorable in any way), Paradise Kiss (if you liked Nana, watch it, but it's nothing more than gorgeous, enjoyable eyecandy), Denpa Teki Na Kanojo (incomplete), Lovely Complex (average romantic school comedy), Slam Dunk (unless you're a basket fan), Tokko (enjoyable bunch of gore, not a must, unless you loved Elfen Lied), and Saiyuki (enjoyable, but nothing great).

I recommend Black Jack OAV (fantastic), Escaflowne (best mecha anime ever made), Excel Saga (insane, great, underrated comedy/parody series), Yu Yu Hakusho (one of the best shounen series), Berserk (violent, intense, mature), Red Garden (manga is amazing), Utena (check it out, maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't, it's a totally subjective series), Versailles No Bara (a wonderful classic, must watch), Lain (another subjective anime, total mindfuck), Samurai 7 (nice mix of mecha & historical setting), Oban Star Racers (rather unique and good), City Hunter (a classic), and Romeo No Aoi Sora (if you're in the mood of watching a slice of life classic).

Mnemosyne is actually pretty good despite being pretty brutally violent, I feel like it should really get more coverage.

You're PTW list is definitely too long to recommend dropping anything. If you are taking suggestions (which it appears you might not be) I would highly recommend watching Toradora! and Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo when you get the time.

Clannad: I thought it was overhyped.
Nagisa is mehish
Kotomi got her arc and that's it
Kyou is typical tsundre.
Tomoyo was good.
Fuko........ FUCK THAT LITTLE BITCH.
You are supposed to feel sad about stupid shit(Besides Kotomi's arc, Kotomi's arc was amazing.)
Tomoya and Sunohara are funny though.

I don't recommend Aria and School Days to anyone. One is sleep-inducing, the other is rage-inducing. One Piece? Don't bother with it. If you're in the mood for a shounen, there are several better series around.

Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, and Evangelion are a must watch. You should not waste any more time and go watch them soon.

Amatsuki. As far as I'm concerned, you're better off reading the manga. Much better off. It didn't end probably and it just wasn't consistent.

Blood-C. So far it's been nothing but utter wasted potential. 2/3 of it is Saya doing boring and irrelevant stuff. While the other 1/3 of it is her fighting some monster.
Then again, it is still airing, so there is still room for improvement but for now it's a no-go for me.

Deadman Wonderland. If you enjoy seeing good manga being butchered by an inconsistent anime adaption, go ahead and watch it. Otherwise, don't.

Wow, you don't have alot of PTW do you? And truth be told they're all pretty good in my opinion XD

I suppose the Air movie isn't as good as the TV series, even though it still pretty good...argh I suck at this. Go put more anime on your PTW :P

Lucky Star OVA.
It wasn't all that good compared to the original show.
The first one and the one with Shining Inferno are worth watching though.

Nanahoa seems kinda ovverated but other than that your PTW is filled with great shows... Seems like I'm the only one who has a massive PTW with all sorts of crap on it XD

@Jrittmayer:
Don't bother with Air Gear unless you're gonna read the manga, because the ending is really unsatisfying. And from what I've heard, the manga got terrible at some point anyway.
Devil may cry is awful, I don't even know anyone that liked it. Especially stay away if you've played the games, because it's just gonna look that much worse by comparison.
The original Hellsing series is garbage aside from the soundtrack. Go for Ultimate instead.
The ONLY worthwhile part of Kaze no Stigma is Kazuma casually messing with his tsundere and cool as he is, the rest of the show is bad even by shounen standards.
Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin takes a nosedive after a few episodes, don't bother.
Listen to this song. Congratulations, you are now finished with Senkou no Night Raid.
Umineko is such a horrible adaptation, you don't even need to play the VNs to see that. Just go for those.

-Texhnolyze-You dropped Casshern Sins so...maybe this will suffer the same fate. It's not bad imo, its just a little slow and seems to want to take its time. I dropped both shows simply because they lost of attention.

-Gungrave- don't remember much about it because its not memorable. Shows how average that show is...

-The Sky Crawlers-slow movie imo...
-Flag, tries too hard imo...
-rahxephon- its okay but isn't much of an improve over neon genesis evangelion. Although wasn't a total waste of my time, I'd avoid it. Almost same thing as NGE, but less impressive imo. Once you start to notice how similar it is to NGE then you're at the point where you've seen enough of it and could either drop it or speedwatch through it.

I wouldn't recommend World of Narue. Even though I find a sort of nostalgic value to the anime, it's still pretty shallow when you take the nostalgia away. Even though it's the romance between an alien and a human, it's just an average love story and nothing more. There's nothing extraordinary about it, so it's not like you're missing anything if you don't watch it.

Pretty much, Chaos;Head and School Days. It's not worth it, really. I guess if you're a true gore fan in the most literal sense, these shows aren't what I'd recommend. Aside from that, you have a rather nice PTW list ^^

I've watched the first 8 episodes of Blood+ and I didn't really enjoyed it, I placed it on hold. I might resume it one day but as of now it's a low priority. I feel that it starts off pretty slow. That's all I can say about this series.

As for Air, it might just be me, but it wasn't as 'sad' as everyone claims it to be. I think I only found one scene to be a bit sad which is towards the mid-end of the series. To be honest, I only watched it because it was a Key production, if it wasn't, I don't think I would have even given it a chance.
