Take your finger off the exclamation mark D: That said, alot of my favorite manga is shounen. I'm a big fan of the Naruto manga which is pretty much shounen overdrive. Although not the best example. |

Some girls have ruined shonen. Case in point Naruto. If not for the fangirls we wouldn't have to deal with that bastard Sasuke all the time. >_> ![]() |

Sure, I have the same criteria for shounen that I do for shoujo, i.e. story and art. In either case, it takes me a while to find a manga that I like. |

If it's a good story, I don't care what demographic it's aimed at. Haha, maybe it's just because I frequent Livejournal, but I usually see girls reading more shounen manga than shoujo. Of course, they also usually like yaoi and have to gay up everything. |

I like lots of shounen manga - they're fun. Shoujo is fun too, though. |

Yeah, of couse. I've read plenty of shonen mangas. And my first and third favorite manga out there are, Tsubasa Chronicles and Black Cat, and they're shonen (well, atleast the website says). |

I read Shounen, I don't really care too much what genre a manga is though, it is all about how good the story and art are. I usually like Shounen art a lot, hahaha. I think it is really cool! |

Mystic_Spirit said: i dont think females have problems with shounen as males have problems with shoujo, but that's just me.. Nope many are like that XD. Shojo are tend to be short and light hearted so it doesn't make me a fanatic when reading them :P |

I don't care about how a manga is labeled, if I like the story I'll read it. |

Most shonen these days are aimed at girls as much as guys anyway. Look at Yu Yu Hakusho. Do you really think Kurama was designed to be all the male watchers' favorite badass character? D. Grayman and Hitman Reborn both cater heavily to the fujoshi fanbase with the large cast of male characters. Etc etc, the point being shonen is a target demographic, not an exclusive group. That said, I love shonen. Not Naruto and Bleach so much, but a lot of my favorite manga are Shonen Jump titles. Ich verstehe nicht |

Even though I read most shoujo series. Some of my fav. series are shounen. Ex: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Chrno Crusade (ok, it isn't only aimed at shounen, but not typical shoujo either..) and of course Ranma 1/2, Love Hina, Chobits and Inuyasha too. So when I think about it, I actually have many shounen titles as my fav. even though I read much shoujo. |

As many have already mentioned, as long as the story is good it doesn't really matter which audience the author is aiming at. ^^'' Oh, and often the art plays a big part as well. |
