I've just watched it RAW and hell was it wonderful! Anderson fans will be especially pleased I believe. Totally worth all the wait. Also I have to add this OVA desperately needs HD out there with all the epic widescale stuff going on. Now waiting for HD and subtitles.

how was the animation compared to the earlier ovas?

Animation is as good as it was in the previous episodes. I can share some screencaps if you want. Also, as I've mentioned before, we need a BD-rip to appreciate it in full.

Definetly concur with a BD-rip of this, as well as the others. Was extremely acurate to the manga to the point where I had volumes 7 and 8 beside me to help me translate parts in the RAW.

Totally looking forward to the last two OVA's. Moar plz. <3

Epicness, thy name is Hellsing!

I was a bit worried whether the new studio would be able to handle Hellsing, but it seems they're doing fine. I think this is my favourite OVA so far; I absolutely loved all others as well, but this one was the point were all Hell broke loose and man, was it a magnificent sight to behold.

Finally!
Though I'm a bit disappointed they didn't draw out the fight a bit more. Would have been awesome to see some fancy swordplay between Vlad and Anderson.

Good to hear that the RAW is out, now if someone picks it up and does the subs...

I am honestly shocked that this OVA-s aren't that popular. I was so looking forward it and I think that this series is one of the best in a long time. Sorry I am getting carried away.

Haha, that was awesome. I loved anderson v alucard at the end, funny if they just ended the whole series now. That was anderson's own music vid at the end, best ending yet! Will watch again with subs later. Wish there was more Seras though.

So, I guess I'm the only one who's not particulary pleased by the new animation. Personally, I thought the animation was almost... terrible, at least in comparison to the works on Hellsing Ultimate done thus far by Satellite and Madhouse. This had some really BAD looking CG and even wierder facial expressions on some of the characters. I felt some of the character models were off, too.

I had volumes 7 and 8 next to me to translate along like skinst, and I also noticed the almost shot for shot adaptation of the panels (then again, that's nothing new for Ultimate), but still, I thought that for the most part, the manga did look better than the OVA, and I somewhat doubt that an HD rip of the episode will change that.

YEAH RAW FOR EPS.8 HAS FINELY ARRIVED!

Hahahahaaha ... Ahhhhh ... Alucard always knows how to make a good entrance and bloody show.

But too much of computer graphics at the undead army of the Count. The manga was better. But still it's one of my favorite parts in this episode. It is a pity that it wasn't the whole fight with Andy. I can't wait next ep and Girlycard^^.

I just watched it RAW.
I loved it. I just didn't like where they cut it off at. That was a horrible place to end it.
ONLY BECAUSE we never know when the next one will come out (I don't think). That was a painful cliffhanger. (Even though I've read the manga. lol)

I usually never watch raws but this was an exception. Wanna see the HD sub version just so I can judge it better, but damn at least I gotta say that seeing Alucard summoning his army and transforming into Vlad was EPIC.

Sad part is the waiting for OVA 9 and 10.

It was just spectacular. I think this topped OVA 4 as my favorite.

Though there was a little too much CGI for my taste.

This is up on youtube with subs and all, but is it worth watching like that?

No subs yet? I really can't wait, but will have to. I just can't watch the RAW-s
