| Yeah, that's probably going on the Eureka Seven Drinking Game. I noticed how this episode is a bit similar to Evangelion--in the second episode, 14-year-old boy protagonist who expects it all to be over gets super-powerful attack via mecha, in a scene that is told in hindsight. And damn, that Seven Swell thing sure is freakin' pretty. Even the pattern it leaves behind. Even though I'm dreading the consequences, I kinda want the show to elaborate on the grandpa's comment about the Seven Swell. |

| Damn, I have a bit of difficulty to follow the lore so far but I guess I'll get habituated later x) The pale girl doesn't look human at all. She look humanoid, but she look like an alien or something like that. The rasta guy called her ''his princess''. I wonder if it was just to mock him or if she really is a princess. I'm also curious about that picture Holland had. It look like the face of Renton sister was striped, like if he didn't liked her. Renton look like your casual shounen boy. I hope he turn out epic. At least, he's not a pussy and doesn't seem shy at all :P |

| Ugh, the subtitles in Netflix are seriously the worst. Makes E7 even harder to follow than it should be. >_< Better than the first episode at least. BONES original series are a weird sort. |

| The animation is top notch but why am I getting a Evangelion vibes. From the mecha awakening towards the end to the Pale girl that lacks human attributes. Also pink explosions, easily a Gundam homage. Hope they explain the universe's lure soon but so far my interest is peeked. |

| The first two episodes were rather slow. Since I've heard the show just has a slow start, I'm really hoping it gets better later on. The cast of characters in the opening look really interesting after all. Lots of things happened and dramatic things said, but since I hardly know any of the characters, there is little weight and meaning behind their words and actions for me. Even if you put them on weird hover boards, mecha suits still look pretty lame. Who knew? Also, I find myself asking why is Renton so obnoxious, and then I remember he is a 14 year old boy therefore it makes sense. At least there are 48 episodes left for his character to change (please, please change). |

| Our boy Renton is clearly a chad, already confessing. But I guess there's something wrong with the girl, she was saying she cannot have children or something like that. Fun episode, but I don't like how everyone is connected, Renton is going to be the chosen one huh. |
| I agree that storywise it isn't as appealing as the spectacle so far, but it's a 50 episode anime, so there's plenty of time to flesh things out properly. Love the visuals and the opening, tho. Giving me Code Geass vibes, but no wonder, the song was sung by the same band. |

| Better than the first episode but still, a lack of clarity and identity as a whole with what this show is trying to accomplish, especially with Renton since I don't even know why he loves and respects Holland so much to this lengths and what Holland's crew really is all about and how the world actually works. It is a 50 episode anime so patience is the key. Animation's still really good, but there wasn't enough going on with Eureka and Renton for me to care for the confession and more. Not a fan of the first 2 episodes at all compared to how I rated the show a few years back, which seems underwhelming but hopefully it gets better. |
| What brave man stands before my eyes? For Renton to state his love directly right then and there, he must either be a brave guy or simply an impulsive kid who spoke before he think! The shows going for a mysterious type of world-building, many things are happening but the audience has little information as to what's truly going on. As others have said before me, with 50 eps, there's no need to rush and reveal everything. Just gotta take it nice and slow... What I know for certain is the animation does not disappoint, the fight, if it can be called such, was smooth, even got the classic missile barrage scenes most sci-fi shows has. The seven swells itself is vibrant and captivating even though I have nothing but ideas of what the hell it actually is. Well, it seems that after all that and a bunch of believing Renton is finally getting what he had always wanted, a thrilling life full of action and no boredom. In fact, it seems that is how his life should've been if not for his grandfather who insisted on letting Renton taste the feeling of ordinary life before he inevitably got dragged into a life which his father and sister was dragged to before. |
