| That reunion was so short lol. They should have ended the episode in his house though, the last scene is awkwardly placed. |
| Cried the hardest I've cried over an anime episode in a while. Loved this youkai and how she playfully scared Natsume and started to care for him after seeing he was getting bully and how alone he actually was. And their reunion after all those years ;__; |

| We get an extended look into Natsume's childhood via flashback, through the eyes of a tree-bound cat-transforming youkai who interacted with him over one summer back then. Ah, now that's more like it. A very poignant episode what with the thoughts on the benefits of being alone and how pretty much everyone in Natsume's life treated him like shit back then. The tears came for me at the end, when Natsume, his life having taken a drastic turn for the better in recent years, came back to see/reconcile with the tree youkai who, overjoyed upon meeting him again, quickly embraced him. Now THAT was touching. :D MAL says she only appeared in this season of the show. A pity, I woulda enjoyed her as a regular member of Natsume's crew. :D |

| Every now and then this show pulls off a stellar episode and this was certainly one. Probably the best one so far imo. There's one in season 2 that competes, but I think this tops it. |

| I'm going to echo what's been said above and say that this was definitely the best episode of the series so far. In fact, it's one of my favourite episodes of anime ever. I actually shed a tear at the bit with the cat in the field. It was such a beautifully told story. I'm so happy that Natsume has found friends now but that he was also able to get some closure on his past. Kids can be so cruel (mind you, so can adults...) After I watched season one, I had no idea that I would fall in love with this anime so much but it just keeps getting better and better. If this season keeps up this standard of episode it'll be a 10 from me. |

| What happened to Touko in the past and how it's framed is really disgraceful. She gives a friend a nice and thoughtful, heartfelt gift and the friend cruelly insults her to her face for no justifiable reason whatsoever. And then Touko is the one made to feel guilty then and all these years since and says she should have apologized? The friend was 100% the one in the wrong. How can she feel guilty over simply giving a friend a nice gift and being insulted for it for no reason? |
| What a fantastic and adorable episode! This Youkai was so cute, while the scene when she became a cat was so touching. Also Nyanko-Sensai and the Ramen was priceless! Definitely one of my favorite episodes so far. |

| This episode is wonderful, I have nothing to complain about, it's simply one of the best and so far the best of this season. The parallel between Natsume, Touko and Youkai was very good. Not only that, this was the most relaxing episode of the series so far. |
| God what a wholesome episode that was. I was close to crying, I felt so bad for Natsume but I'm glad he was able to meet up with the yokai again after. It really was touching and I'm excited to see more of Natsume's past Definitely my favorite episode so far |

| "If there's someone you wish to see, then you're no longer alone." That was beautifully said. Easily one of the best episodes in this whole series. Poor Natsume had such a sad childhood. Those hugs were heartwarming, especially the one when that youkai was in her cat form. =^_^= |
