well i think there are many reasons from shyness to paranoia, boarderline, to shizoid personality disorder, authism... what it is in some kind of self inflicted reclusive ways can also be simple disliking most of the people, no reasons to go outside, no idea what to undertake with the friends, don't feeling understood from anyone... i don't know i think in reality everyone has his own reasons, and if the boredom is no problem and their is something to do then i think many people don't have a problem with this lifestyle the feeling of loneliness is also a good point, but how will someone conquer loneliness when he doesen't go outside... *argl* i really don't know, but it's an interesting and important question ---edit--- i was just reading about shizoid personality disorder, abnd their is something written like they are not sure if it shall count as an illness cause most of the affected don't see a problem with this... you can ask in the sameway something like if you don't see a problem for yourself, then is there a problem at all? hmmm i think this is also an interesting philosophical question some can say that their is no problem, others can see it different, but what's more important? yup, also thiers phobias of going outside some people have and fear of crowds and stuff like that. I read something once about hikikomori's are like the alternate version of the homeless and druggies, hikkis do things from problems I also read that mental problems can cause isolation but isolation also causes problems so just being isolated adds to the troubles. ![]() |
