Lies right here. If you had truly played the Visual Novels, you'd know these kinds of shenanigans are commonplace. There's more comedy and ecchi situations than there is horror itself.
If you take anime seriously, you're autistic.

And in thee end it depends what side are you on. I am more of the neutral type. I tend to like it things when they are there. As gore comes, I take it as much as comedy coming and taking it. The thing I hate most about Higurashi is when all goes nice and suddenly blood everywhere. That surprise got me sometime in the first season.

Well anyway, I am against any Rika gore.

That's good thing in Higurashi.

I love all onomatopoeias!
"Mad scientist" with Japanese accent from S;G
Well.. I like fusion higurashi story(virus, oyashiro curse etc) with echi/comedy.

But this wasn't even funny. Most of the comedy comes from the characters' interactions so we had a little bit of that in the second half after Keiichi's delusions were over but other than that nothing really. And the ecchi is just text on a screen in the VN.

The fanservice wasn't the problem with this ova, the problem is it was boring, not funny at all; I expected much more of this.

Wow Higurashi has taken a step further into crappyness.

And I still was hoping for something interesting. Higurashi has the potential to be good but whe they release crap like thise, they are just destroying the potential.

Ooishi seems totally out of place in Soul Brothers.

SOUL BROTHERS!

Heh, so yeah, that was disturbing in many ways.. Pervy Õishi!
This OVA isn't that bad I think, (or it is..) but it's not what I started watching the series for (I didn't play the visual novels). I would prefer a somewhat more mystic/slightly graphic/more serious episode.

^^' I'm not a fan of girl-fanservice. But the next OVA looks slightly better than this one.

Keiichi-Satoshi yaoi = do not want

Anyway it was overall funny enough. Wonder if all four OVAs will be like this.

I feel kind of bad for all of these little children and how they're fantasized in these situations by Keiichi and grown men... O.o" These guys have some serious fetish issues...

And whoa, the Keiichi Satoshi scene.... Uhmmm.... Yeah... Not much to say there... Definitely not the top of my yaoi pairs that's for sure O.o"

There were some great parts (mion with ak-47 and outside the phone booth are classic) in it but the fanservice was a bit over the top ^_^"

It was still... kind of funny... just a bit creepy with the fanservice. It's okay, I liked the original series much better but an OVA is an OVA.

It was the same case with Rei. Episodes at swimming pool, or whatever else there was at start, and some better that can be recognized as a part of Higurashi series later in the show
