According to their press release, FUNimation, Gonzo Studios, and Indomina Group, a U.S. and Dominican Republic based producer and distributor, have announced a live action feature film of Afro Samurai. Samuel L. Jackson, who voiced the lead character the anime, is going to star in the live action film and has been hired as one of the producers. According to Variety, the producers hope to hire a writer and director this summer and complete casting by the end of the year. The film will be shot at Pinewood Indomina Studios in the Dominican Republic next year. Big respect for Samuel L Jackson but isn't he getting on in age now? 63 or somewhere around there. I don't see how they are going to make him into the killing machine that is afro samurai but whatevs.  |

I liked Afro Samurai but I bet I'm not gonna like the movie. SLJ is too old for the shit. He can't be playing Afro. It will be better if he plays Ninja Ninja. Besides Afro barely spoke a word, it was Ninja Ninja who was running his mouth non stop, muthafucka this and muthafucka that. Plus Ninja Ninja is old, fits SLJ better. I wonder... Will they have Ron Perlman playing Justice?? XD Now if that's how it's gonna be, I will humbly donate my money to watch this movie. Signature? I ain't got no signature! I don't need no signature! I don't have to show you any stinkin' signature! |
