Nah, if you think about it the episode isn't that much of a mindfucker.... still a great one ;]

LoL. Reveals the secret about split personalities. In an exaggerated way....

Loved it. Vincent in another suits and outlooks. Who doesn't not want to be inside Re-L?

And I laughed out loud because of Spanish dub, when Ergo Proxy cried at the end of the dream.

It's a coincidence that my psychology class is studying dissociative identity disorder and this episode of Ergo Proxy includes said disorder.

Very interesting episode and just like everyone has said.... very confusing. @_@;;

So i'm guessing he was being mind fucked by another proxy? And the proxy was revealing to Vincent what his own subconscious was fearing?

Wow, loved this episode. I didn't really think it was that confusing; once Swan reveals that she's a proxy, it becomes clear that that whole thing was just a trap to try to get Vincent.
I once had a dream sort of like this o.o

Seemed another proxy attack to me, this time to Vincent conscience. He just understands it when he remember that re-l didn't had a pendent. I agree with you, very confusing, a episode that need to be re-watched.

Well it's clear each time a strange world or situation comes up that it is the work of a Proxy so I'm no longer confused at the start of the episode. This certainly helps in trying to deduce what's going on in the episode but this one was very strange nonetheless. I managed to figure out that the doctor was the Proxy but I didn't really understand her intentions or methods until the very end.

Love this series! Aww, Real and Vince becoming fiances <3

If the whole fiancés scene was Vincent's wishful thinking, how come he is perfectly fine with Deadalus being in there whom he isn't supposed to even know?

Speaking of Deadalus - where is Icarus?

Hah, shit. That was a great episode. I wonder if any of that was a mental proxy attack or if it Vince's mind slowly crumbling because of his split personality (vince/ergo).
The episode was seemingly about the personality disorder, so it seems to be hinting at Vince losing his grip on reality.. Pretty seriously as well.
Only when he becomes one will he finally achieve his truth.. hopefully we'll get to understand it as well.

Where do i even begin to ask questions? Another Proxy invade Vincents brain, inputs thoughts on killing Re-l and the two pendents act like some mind tranfer thing.....AWWWW, tell me it was all in Vincent's thoughts!

Ummm... I may have to schedule an appointment with my therapist after this one...

I wasn't sure what to expect after episode 19, but this puts my head into just the right spin to accept... well... just about whatever comes next! : )

I must say, series that hurt my brain because I'm trying to figure out what happened are waaaaaay better than series that hurt my brain because of frenetic girl-fight punchout laugh-riot upskirt car chases..

although, there's a place for that

Wow, it was confusing along the way but at the end I thought was great mindfuck! LOL

As if the last episode was not enough to remind of the other films, this reminded in turn of John Cusack's 2003 film,"Identity" where Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is the key element of the plot.

I read in the discussion on episode 19 that someone was glad they had reviews so they were prepared to deal with the plot twists. I have heard that Ergo Proxy starts out good but fizzles out by the end. I wonder if episode 19 was the start of the end, because I didn't like that one or this one.

Totally mindscrewed! But nonetheless, a very great episode!!

Was really lost when Lil/Vince kept on switching personalities until Vincent knew that

Swan is a another proxy which I refused to believe before it was revealed coz the events felt plausible for the storyline.

Also, this ep showed Vincent's fear and desires. :)

I want to say that was a different Proxy. The Proxy that was in Pino's dream didn't even want to meet Vincent but this episode's Proxy confronted him.

Still...my mind hurts from this episode, I actually understood Pino's dream episode more than this one and both involved Proxies invading the mind but Pino's was more straightforward.

It was like another episode 14 with the doppelgangers.
It was either another Proxy attack or it is Vincent's sub consciousness that is a borderline to his human side and his proxy. Maybe it is neither LMAO

I didn't find this all that confusing. At least, relatively speaking. The whole series has been rife with this sort of very abstract clue dropping. It was pretty cool to see Vincent's ideal world, which was the sort of place in which you'd expect to hear the phrase 'happily ever after'. As usual though, more questions are presented than answered...

Brilliant. Vincent's fears and dreams are vividly portrayed. I wonder what his past is like to be so incredibly hidden, even in his subconcious.

Didn't like this episode, getting annoyed with it, there is only 3 episodes left now to tie everything up and this episode didn't show us any plot. It was ok, but i dont really think it was very necessary.

Claiming this episode to be 'confusing' is more disturbing than the episode itself.
Almost immediately it was hinting at proxy-attack.
10 minutes in I was 100% sure.
At the end, it bloody says so.
What is there to be confused about?
EDIT : the episode was also pretty much a filler. If it was concealed better that it was a proxy-attack and not giving it away immediately, it would have been a great filler.
As it was however, it was mediocre. It gave some insight into Vincent and was mildly interesting to see how he would win the fight.
