God damn hilarious. I love it when Gintama takes something really simple and makes it funny and (strangely) profound with the Patriot "backstory". The KFC bit had me in fits. Considering most anime comedies get old for me after a dozen episodes, this show still manages to surprise me after 215. Currently trying to make myself a Patriot right now :D Is it me or has Hasegawa become a bit of a cosplay freak recently? Mecha-cardboard-Hasegawa and now Patriot version and pantsu-tenshi version! Now MORE Katsura and Elizabeth please :)  |

Wow, I guess I'm the only one who realizes all the references to Metal Gear Solid and the fact this was a parody of Metal Gear? Patriot (Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots) = Tissue box (Called Solid) Toilet Paper (Called Naked) Can't believe everyone missed that.  |

Just after the awesome Kamui and Takasugi run, we are back to natural gintama - the original :D The return of Daigoro +1 (I wonder whether he recognized Hasegawa) Tsukki and Sa-chan-san <3 Hijikata awesomeness. +1 Tsukki losing it after trying to explain how it works. So adorable. +10 Otae beating the head out of Kondo. I literally paused to see her expressions. I swear she had the loveliest smile. +10 Tsukki and Sa-chan-san in school uniform. +100. Kondo mama and Hasegawa papa :D +10 Kids still kicking Gintoki after all that show. +100 Amazing. I was laughing so hard. Best single episode yet! (wait, I say that after every such episode.) XD  |

The Patriot was also an unlockable weapon in MGS3. I would SO rather have one of these Patriots, though. I couldn't stop laughing at the whole story about toilet paper while Gintoki was on the conveyer belt. |
