| OMG! Why didn't I recognize it earlier?! lol Especially when both series were airing last season! And I'm guessing Masakaki was copied off of Mephisto. I don't know if "copied" was the right word for it... |
| Noticed it from the first episode of both :P The character designs are definitely very similar, and they're both mysterious characters who reside in the background and have their own secret agendas. Masakaki's way creepier tho, Mephy-kun's just a lovable scamp :P |
| Good observation (the pose). ;) From the offset it became clear that they're virtually the same character, as are so many 'eccentric mad hatter' type who writers create knowing the public will openly accept them - it's the equivilant to making a tsundere (preferably with a big chest) or a moody bishounen; they don't have to stand out as an unusual character type in order to have a fanbase. |
