Get well soon.

I'm glad to hear that he wants to live and is hopeful about the whole ordeal.

Writers, they always live the most unhealthiest lifestyles.

Being a light novel author in Japan must be a hazardous occupation, as seen with the now-deceased authors of the Trinity Blood and Kaze no Stigma novels. And I think there was one other LN author who died young in recent years. But hopefully Yamaguchi pulls through, for the sake of himself and his loved ones as well as the series and its fans.
Author of MM! also died this year, seems like a bad time for LN authors but I really enjoy reading them just takes forever for them to come out and it seems even longer for them to get translated. Lets hope he makes it last thing we need is another LN to never be completed and for the world to lose another great author.

Ishihara must not be happy with his law since he can't ban novels, so he's wishing them to die or suffer great pain and suffering. He better not be wishing on my favorite, keep those wishes directed away from her, go wish death to the people who stole from the Ano Hana Shrine, that's pretty much the epitome of disgrace.

Hurry up! Make another season before he dies!

Putting aside the rather crude implication here (more anime > guy's life), this doesn't make sense. How does rushing the anime out change the fact that the original novels aren't done yet? And how would his death - which hopefully will not happen - prevent another season of the anime?

Your logic and priorities are just all wrong here...
You obviously didn't get the joke, but I'm gonna reply seriously

Are you implying I should be a hypocrite and pretend I care about him dying? You have any idea how many people I don't know die everyday? If I don't care about them, why should I pretend care about him? It's just being egoist. I do care about anime, so of course it's a priority.
I'm pretty sure him dying would make the negotiation fo another season hard in more than one way.

He hates anime/manga, not Novels. He even puts out some rather questionable ones himself.

It's times like this that you realize just how precious life is...

Anime/manga/LN just doesn't matter, I don't care if ZnT ever gets finished, I don't care if we ever get another anime...

A person's life is in danger.....that should be the only concern.

Very sad news...

It's so ridiculous to read so many comments where IDIOTS feel the need to show their disapproval of the series this man created as if that mattered or had any weight at a time like this....it just shows how people really are.

Damn, knowing you have a serious illness must be a very very horrible feeling. I cannot fathom how one would feel unless I experienced it myself (God forbid).

I really hope he is going to live through the operation and continue on with a normal life.
