| What was so hard to understand? Siblings living together, one of them had a terminal illness, and then she gets saved... But for a price. I was able to follow it perfectly. Could end up being a deconstruction of fairy tales that defy death. Who knows? Loved every minute of Mawaru! Penguins were cute whilst funny, asked thought provoking questions, DAT HENSHIN, Abstract artwork, and a beautiful soundtrack to go along with it! Brilliant! Ikuhara is back! |

| this episode is pro. but what i liked most is that they began with "I hate the word "Fate" and ended with it too, and at the very last minute they sprung up "I love the word Fate" to change naive ppls' thinkings about the world. This anime is clearly teaching you about how to change Fate, whether you like it or not, in an epic comedic style with a bit of seriousness. 10/10 so far ... I hope it gets better!!! Meaningless message: Penguins are Pro. XD |

| i thought i recognised the singer in this OP! arakawa under the bridge OP :D INCEST :S! looks very promising, those penguins were so LOL! the best part was when he asked that mum coming out of the shop with her child about the penguin and she told her son to ignore him because he is crazy haha, then when he was running away from the penguin and it was following him and he was like WAAAAA! mega lolz at that! |
| I really don't know why everyone was so surprised by the incest. This is from the director of Utena people. In Utena there wasn't a single brother and sister that wasn't interested in screwing each other senseless. I saw that last twist coming though not quite as soon. I expect style over substance with this show. And as already said, this is ten times better than Star driver ever was. This is Utena's true spiritual successor. But that may be jumping the gun. It's only the first episode and there are plenty of ways this can go wrong. |

| from the moment I saw the character's noses, I had a hunch it was from the same director as Utena XD And then the "lets pull something out of your chest"-scene. Then at the end of the episode with the incest, I was like, yeahhh that's Ikuhara for you |
| Kan...what the hell, man? It might just be a coincidence, but the girls' hair colors in the ED, other than someone who appears to be Himari, are Kan's and Shouma's. Lesbian incest? Instant 10/10 right there. This is the most impressive first episode of the season by far, and now I'm all the more excited to see Utena, which is on my PTW (I'm sure for most of you here, it's mainly the other way around, haha). |
| Sounds to me like 2 animes combined together as follows centered. For one FLCL and the other once is Excel Saga because of the whole random aspect. Despite that it was fun. Sounds to me like Himari got a second chance at the price of a another entity being celestial or spiritual should I say came into her to possess. Now it's kind of obvious in the spoiler  and all her different poses and appearance in the spoiler The last thing that made WTF and O_O is the following,  holy shit incest BS! WTF Kanba! | Okay, that anime threw me off. There were a lot of things I did not expect in this anime 1) Sister dying with 10 minutes. I thought they were going to build up to that later on 2) The whole transformation sequence.......wtf 3) SISTER COMPLEX!!!! BIGGEST WTF?!!!!!!!! Also, I'm sooooo confused about what's going on. Oh well, I'm going to watching this one |

| I don't know what the hell happened.....but I do know this.........this anime will be pretty interesting, especially if you have cute little penguins doing house work on the very first episode. Plus the art is awesome. Not to mention the whole "mahou shoujo" transformation scene was pretty awesome in my opinion. |
| The episode really was all over the place and tried to evoke several polar opposite emotions and present completely different scenarios in matter of minutes. I found it hard to care about the characters at all, and I seriously hope they're not going to keep this pacing up for the rest of the series. But I'm intrigued to watch some more and I do see potential in this show. And I doubt that anything Kunihiko Ikuhara produces can have completely no value. Also I didn't see the new Coaltar of the Deepers song coming. I was extremely surprised and mad with joy. Definitely the ED of the year for me. |

| I think this anime is going to use the, "Show now, explain later" approach quite a bit. Did anyone else replay the opening theme like 6 times like I did? Such a good opening. I love the art style too, it's very different and so colorful and vibrant. This is definitely going to be the best this season along with Usagi Drop. I'm already waiting for the next episode. 5/5 |

| Yeah...I dunno... Gonna put it in my to watch list for the time being and wait until more (all) eps are out and then consider actually watching it. Not really my type of show I'm afraid. The only reason why I even watched this ep was because upon reading the title I remembered reading that Kawakami Tomoko was supposed to be involved in this. So I was only watching this because of her. |
| I must humbly admit that I didn't know Kunihiko Ikuhara before this episode, having only seen the first few episodes of Utena. Now I can say that I admire and respect the man. This first episode is so outstanding in terms of animation, art, and above all direction, that I don't really know how to rate it. On top of that the music is pitch perfect and the characters are incredibly vivid and quirky... I just loved it. And I guess I need to watch the full Utena series also now. |
