As for whether it'll come - but maybe later - possibly. If something just sells decently but not amazingly, it could take longer to get a sequel. Another show might get priority and bump a sequel down. On the other hand, the longer you wait to do a sequel, the more likely there will be even less of a fanbase left when you do. Just look at what happened to the final seasons of Shana and ZnT. They waited too long, everyone had moved on, and both dropped precipitously in sales from their predecessors. It probably wouldn't do Hidan no Aria much good to wait too long to do a sequel, if they're going to do one at all. Might be they decide that whatever sales bump the original novels got was good enough and animating another season won't help enough to offset production costs. BUY YUYUSHIKI BDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY |

![]() This is part of a cool scene from early in the series, it actually had a few memorable/funny parts but this show is totally average at best. |

Im not a very picky viewer, I love most anime I see, but Aria is one of the ones i really, really liked, but it needs to cover more, Im gonna have to re-watch as my memory is very short term so I forget a lot of anime moments, but I do know I want a new season with more Kinji and Aria. I really honestly don't think it was a bad show at all. Just something to watch lightly while ur downloading anime or sth. (that's what I did)... Or maybe it's cuz I had no expectations from this one at all...anyhow, I would really like a season 2, cuz the last episode ended with quite a few questions unanswered. OREGAIRU DESERVES MORE LOVE |

It wouldn't specifically hurt of course, but it's such an infinitesimal sum for the original production committee that it couldn't change a decision they've made based on domestic sales performance being below expectations. As the first post said, it was the decision of the anime production that the sales was not sufficient for a 2nd season. It is more because of the expectation being set too high, NOT because the series did not sell well. An sales average of over 5000 is generally considered good enough for a 2nd season. |
