Something Makoto's afraid of is revealed. Interesting shout out to Ryouko!!

Makoto's fear is quite interesting. I am just not sure whether it is pathetic or acceptable.

Makoto's fear is more pathetic than acceptable.

I'd say Makoto's fear is understandable and believable compared to most of the unbelievable power of youth stuff I'm used to seeing.

1/2 Maekawa, 1/2 Ryuushi. Maekawa's actually showing a bit more of an interest in Niwa this time. Heh, she's a bit late with that. And I guess she doesn't like her height? Or was it that she wanted to get taller? 5'8" is pretty tall for a Japanese woman.

She has a complex. I have a feeling her cosplaying is a combination of her like of games and such and her wish to hide her height.

I liked how at the end of the episode Niwa just leans back and crosses his arms
"Damn I'm such a pimp"

That was one interesting basketball game. That "space" girl was so cute eating the tomatoes.

Makoto weakness is quite interesting lol

anyone else notice how niwa was dressed exactly like touma while talking to the loli girl who is voiced by index's seiyuu about esp powers? shits crazy

So... Yelling like that... when no one else is even making a sound... in a close court... that was impressive.
Watch him loose all those points in the next episode = P

Something have been bugging me for quite a while, Is calling someone by his first name such a big deal in Japan? or its just an anime thing?

Actually, it is a big deal in Japan. From what I know, even classmates usually call each other by the family name. Japanese people are on a first name basis with family members (obviously), close friends and lovers, but rarely with anyone else.

Calling someone by their first name in Japan means you're either a relative or a person very close to them which mostly likely if you're the opposite sex. Both of you might be mistaken as lovers.

I applaud Makoto for his impressive shout out. That was actually embarrassing but hey, If you pull it off not looking like an idiot. You get a lot of puberty points and impress your woman. Good job.

I was somewhat disappointed when I watched this EP, I WONDER WHY...

very embarrassing moment for the transfer student at the end there... this episode wasn't the best but it highlighted the girls mostly in a good way

That was a long speak from Makoto to Ryuushi at the end. He could only had said "Gambare" :P

And Makoto shouting to Ryuushi was somehow painful to watch. He just had to go for a long speech instead of just saying something like "You can do it!" ಠ_ಠ

I am confused as to why Ryuuko got free throws for tackling that other girl. Definitely should have been a charge. And it looks like she crossed the line while shooting, so it shouldnt have counted anyways. More importantly, this episode was kind of boring. And I was almost too embarrassed to watch that speech.

That's the point. It takes balls to interrupt a game and give speech while telling everyone your own fears.

Yashiro becomes more believable as the alien observer by the episode as does the possibility of a second season. This is based on a LN with enough books out that we could see one, right?
