This thread discusses both current movies and your favorite movies. NO SPOILERS! The last movie I saw was over a year ago. I saw The Hangover and it was quite funny. My favorite movies (at least that I remember ATM)

I like Star Wars, but only the old ones. Sorry, Jar-Jar ![]() "If you were to turn into a snake tomorrow and begin devouring humans, and from the same mouth you started devouring humans, you cried out to me 'I love you,' would I still be able to say 'I love you' the same way I do today?" |

Oh, well, I'll give you that one. I despised Jar-Jar. My friends and I used to play "101 Ways to Kill a Gungan" all the time. It was awesome. |

@Bill Yay for 300! I think it is the only Hollywood movie based on Greek history that I loved so much! I went to watch it 2 times in the cinema! Everyone was applausing at the end, it was so fun! ^^ So.. apart from 300, which I obviously liked too.. :P ✪ Gattaca (MOST FAV EVER!) ✪ Equilibrium ✪ Great Expectations ✪ The Count of Monte Cristo (2002 version) ✪ Big Fish ✪ Fight Club ✪ Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ✪ Gone With the Wind ✪ The Dark Knight ✪ LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring ✪ POTC 1 ✪ The Sixth Sense ✪ The Village ✪ Cube (only the first one) ✪ Chocolat ✪ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ✪ Spiderman 1 ✪ Notting Hill ✪ Beauty and the Beast ..just some of my very very loved ones... @justice yeah 300 was awesome (maybe not historically accurate, but who cares) after straining my eyes to see the rest of your list (kidding)...i realized...HOW COULD I FORGET GATTACA?!! one of the best sci-fi movies ever OMG, i feel like an idiot also loved that version of Count of Monte Cristo and Big Fish and Fight Club (mentioned a few times)...well most of your list i'm all about. i guess i need to see the other Underworld movies (only saw the first so far and enjoyed it thoroughly) if they're so highly recommended here with all of your guys badass taste i already know you have ^_^ |

An equally strong sci-fi movie, with political, cultural, and so many other symblisms thrown throughout. It's my 2nd most fav movie and for a good reason. I have done a project on it for my university, same goes with Gattaca ofc and also The Cube. I like movies that you have to find out about hidden messages inside the frames. In Equilibrium for example, every still frame is full of symbolisms. Freakin' amazing! I didn't like Underworld movies so much when I first saw the first two. The story didn't draw me in, but I loved the gloomy gothic atmosphere, so maybe I must check them out again now, after all those years my taste has surely changed. |

@justice i will def catch Equilibrium on your recommendation, esp with the underlying themes you mentioned (the best thing about GOOD sci-fi movies) i should also mention Children of Men, great story (i'm always drawn to end of the world stuff, idk why), better acting, cinematography is amazing too. |
