Basically what everyone else said + dragged-on and/or too long, cliché, with bad character development, despicable characters, etc. littlemitsuki said: This coming from a Marmalade Boy fangirl is quite hilarious. Well, unless you're trolling.Things that piss me off in manga... When the two main characters are in love then they find out they are related by blood. Oops. ;) & stupid female heroines. |

When there are a 100+ chapters and the relationship hasn't progressed much. (Pastel) When the guy keeps going from girl to girl and then back to the same girl again WHILE all of the girls and him are causing constant drama (Kimi no iru machi, you know I'm talking about you!) ![]() Muwahahhaha I am evil. |

Making it easy to tell characters apart is a must for me. I hate it when both the plot and drawings are mediocre or overdone or when a publisher has a million author working under them and yet, they keep bringing out repetitive and similar manga. Is it a matter of keeping the business going? Modified by Rebella, 06-14-11, 9:39 PM |

Things that really pissed me off in a specific manga. : 1. The mangaka made the heroines looked so damn Tsundere. A bit Tsundere is fine, but beyond the limit. Argh. 2. Pairing that I liked was not cannon in that manga. 3. Too long chapters. So many arcs, and it will eventually turn out boring. 4. "littlemitsuki" said: I seconded!Things that piss me off in manga... As someone previously stated, I detest when characters all look alike, making me unable to differentiate between who is who. It's such a bother. Also, I like it when I see characters in chibi form, but some mangakas go chibi crazy and never show the characters in their normal forms. ;_; |

I hate it when a whole chapter would only consist of a few lines and every page would consist of the protagonist posing, but nothings happening. Ehem Bleach Ehem And when a single fight scene would lead to a whole months worth of flash back, which are uncalled for. -_- ![]() |

^ Index, Negima and Ranma are the main offenders. Also, I really hate "awesome" or overpowered characters, there is only so much you can do with them without getting ridiculous. |

*I hate love triangles and the girl ALWAYS picks the bad boy over the sweet guy(that we all want) *Repeated story lines in the same manga(Ex. someone tries to break them up, they fight, they make up)....that happens EVERY FREAKING CHAPTER! *cruddy drawings *Endings T-T (i hate saying goodbye) |

I get sad when the girl I like ends up getting overlooked, and is left behind for the main heroine. I mean, I knows it gonna happen, But I still get sad T-T Possibly in Umi no Misaki? and just about every harem. "Heroine" vs "Side Characters" the Main Character bonus is too strong sometimes lol The Self-Proclaimed Undisputed Goddess of the Universe! ![]() The Strongest Harem in the Galaxy! |

At least it is better than comic books, comic books don't when to end and have continuity problems that ony hardcore fans care about. |

1: Romances where there's little to no intimacy until the very end, for the sake of endless drama. Instead of doing the romnance dance, illogically the main pairing just don't get it on--in spite of there being no good reason for them not to do so. Love rivals enter the picture, misunderstandings occur, nothing is ever resolved... once you've seen a few of the melodramatic manga offerings out there that use this formula, you've pretty much seen them all. At this point, rather than starting something new, I'd rather just re-read Maison Ikkoku. The execution has to be damn near perfect fom me to forgive the repetition, or there has to be a decent reason given for the lack of mating. One of the reasons I rated Sekitou Elergy 9/10 is because the main pairing got it on in the first (of 15) volumes. It made for a nice change of pace. 2: The typical shounen fighting series. An idiotic but noble hero starts out weak as can be but somehow always survives; powering up with each battle. They usually have some kind of power that allows them to compete evenly with the most powerful of enemies. They refuse to kill, they inspire those around them with lame speeches, etc etc... I liked Naruto a lot. I liked Bleach, too. But once I'd seen those two, I started to grow tired of seeing the same thing over and over again. Nowadays I need the more adult seinen variety of manga violence to get my fix. 3: Most shoujo. It's obvious as obvious can be that most were planned only for a chapter or three. But they end up becoming popular and then keep going until the money stops flowing. And, even though sweet fuck all happens, bitches/female manga fans love it and go "kyaaaah!!11!1" over every little thing. (Kimi ni Todoke and Dengeki Daisy, I'm looking at you!) The flipside of this coin are shounen that never end because of their popularity. They start with a sense of purpose, unlike their popular shoujo equivalents, but they eventually reach a point where they just don't end; people fighting for the sake of fighting. Naruto went to hell because Kishimoto STILL hasn't resolved the NarutoxSasuke love affair, some 300+ chapters after they first fought. Modified by AironicallyHuman, 06-18-11, 11:36 AM |

Got another one. The whole build up to the couple having sex arc the happens in almost every romance manga, the characters spend like 10 chapters getting info from their friends and setting up a date, they when they finally able to do it, they A. Girl chickens out and the boy white knights and says "hurrr we don't need to do it until we are ready" or B the get interrupted by some thing dumb. THEN THE TOPIC IS NEVER BROUGHT UP AGAIN! EVER! It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die. |
