omgsh im like 1/2 way thru DMC 4 already and its only been 2 days since i started and i played like not much each day... this gasmes way too easy ><" comon most bosses here are no brainers with heaps predictable moves... DMC 3 was insane on bosses D:

YEA ! dmc 3's bosses were.....hm....STRONG ! AND THAT'S WHY I LOVE DMC 3 MORE THAN DMC 4, but mission 20 is very easy in easy, normal and hard mode, don't u think ? ^^

seriously... Saviour at the end of DMC 4 was pathetic .... so friggin easy i was like WTF

DMC 4 legendary Dark Knight difficulty mode...
has same difficulty as normal mode in DMC 3.... wtf..

Devil Hunter mode in DMC 4 = easy mode in DMC 3
Human mode in DMC 4 = trainee hunter in DMC 3 [ if there is such mode .__." ]

I have played/beaten all of these games, and while I like most of them (except DMC2, which was a curse on mankind), I'd have to go with DMC3 (normal) first, then 4, then 1.

My only complaint with the entire series is the fact that they changed Dante from the badass he was in the first game, to some pizza eating dork. I'm glad Nero's taking the wheel before the Man in Red makes a bigger fool of himself.

but in all honesty as DMC 3 was a prequel, so he changed from a pizza eating badass (he rode missles for factors sake!!!) into a mature badass. DMC 3 shows his growth into a more mature person so although i understand why you like DMC 1 dante better i disagree about the pizza eating dork - he was just young and rowdy

Yeah it was a prequel, but Capcom could have made a much better game. What about Dante and Virgil's mother, her death, and how it affected them? Absolutely nothing about her, and no more about the main characters backgrounds besides what we already knew. Instead we got more backstory about pointless characters. It took the focus off of who it should have been about and put in on Lady and her very ugly-insane father, who I really couldn't have cared less for. Is it my favorite? Yes, but certainly not for the story.

Actually, I don't think I play any Capcom games for the story, except for Okami. RE I play for the guns, DMC I play for the fights, and Onimusha I play for the demons. Let's face it: stories have never been Capcom's strong point.

completely agree with that statement - DMC has well - no story
and on the topic of okami....oh what an under rated game, it was amazing

DMC 4 was fun, but Nero was way too easy to combo with, and it took the challenge out of the game for me. I was so glad when I got Dante back and my hands and fingers were screaming from all the heavy maneuvering! I was like, yes...now this is what Devil May Cry is supposed to feel like! Good game, but not as great as 3. DMC 3 is my absolute favorite, partially because I love Vergil, and because Dante was younger and FAR more arrogant (he may have been rowdy and dorky, but I loved it). One of my favorite games ever, and both of the brothers are in my top 10 of favorite video game characters ever!

Why did most of this thread bar the last few posts make me rage?

umm damn I like dmc 3 speicial edition alot but i perfer dmc4 neros arm is just too much fun when your killin scarecrows or bosses or frosts

I choose DMC Dante's Awakening: Special Edition. I really adore this game a lot but what I love about this edition was getting to play as Vergil.
